Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: Velo Volmobile

Haven't seen any pictures yet. Or any other evidence of the alleged weight loss.

You can get tiny leaks in the tube that will give that same symptom. Though if you continue to pump up and ride, it will start leaking faster after not too long.

Either way, you need need a new tube. Pumping up a tire that let a bunch of air out without performing any type of repair is futile.

Nobody said there would be actual measurable weight loss.

To save you the effort of searching his archives of 46,000+ posts, it is a running joke with some. He props his Cervelos against it for photos, shunning the white garage door standard. It is actually a hideous piece of furniture.

pcad schedules all initiation and hazing in the 41. Resistance is futile. You may or may not be assimilated.

I was happy to step on the doctor's scale at my physical this morning and see it read 199.7. Usually if I'm under 200 on my home scale, the doctor's scale reads 4-5 lbs more because of breakfast and clothes. Today I fasted so I could do labwork after the physical and I wore shorts, polo shirt and sandals. Of course I took the sandals off before I stepped on the scale...I also set my blackberry, keys and wallet aside!

As some of you have figured out by now, nothing ever actually happens in a Pcad thread.

What's the ad say - 30 less watts used to cover the same distance at the same speed? Doesn't that help make it less fugly?

30 less watts than your Fredmobile. Maybe 10 less watts than an S2. And no, that doesn't make it less Fugly.

1368 miles/32 days on the bike since I started riding again after my hospital stay.

I'm almost warmed up.

On this day of Thor's awesome descent, let me remind you that my Blue Competition RC8 "Fredmobile" can descend with the best. No one, and I repeat, no one, has yet to drop me on a descent. Make a note of that.

Climbing is a different story. And that has to do with me, not the bike.

Never say nothing ever. Someday something will happen, and then people will kick themselves for missing it.
