Yokel? Is that like a ski fred??

datlas 02-10-12 02:22 PM

Stupid weather. Looks like I am going to have to do a combo of rollers, swimming, and running this weekend instead of the usual ride(s).

:winter2:

You could always just grab on to the back of a Bentley.

I'm highly confident that I would rank as an amateur ski nazi at the very least, and I didn't even ski all last year.

Velo Vol 02-10-12 03:06 PM

First ride in like two weeks that I had to wear knee warmers.

HTFU!

You've heard of blogging dogs.

Beware of Facebooking dogs.

Down where?

Velo Vol 02-10-12 06:20 PM

Weather forecast:

Rain likely before 8pm, then rain and snow likely between 8pm and 11pm, then snow likely after 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 29. West wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
Consequence: The city/county was out spraying that brine stuff on the main roads today. I guess we're prepared for the worst.

<facepalm>

I had an awesome day. Ran some errands, lunch with the neighbor, then went to my parents' house for a while and spent some quality time with my Dad.

No pictures of me since my dad doesn't really know how to use a digital camera. I did take one picture of the 8" target I shot at with the AR, 30 rounds from 75 yards. I still have plenty of room for improvement but I'm getting better.

If those are neighbors houses in the background, they're very understanding.

That is my dad's house right behind him, behind the tree is his personal sports bar. As for the rest of the neighbors, it's part of living in the country. Shot happens. The neighbors are a good bit further away then the picture shows though. The brown building is actually a neighbors garage.

The film. I completely understand her feelings. However, that doesn't make it a bad short film. Quite the opposite in fact.

It's small, but it's local (less than ten miles from here).

Rt. 17A crosses above the top of the lifts. Few sights in skiing are as inspiring as coming to the top of the ski lift as a NJ Transit commuter bus drives right across your field of vision.

patentcad 02-10-12 10:48 PM

I will be test flying the new Volkl RTMs. One magazine review of the ski went on about how 'maybe this ski is too hot for you'. Yeah, ok. Friggin ski writers are imbeciles.

Yeah, we're bracing for the Blizzard of 012. 1-3".

I'm not SA but hey, the n+1 rule applies. Being cheap I like bolt-action 308s like Remington 700. Super fun hitting 55gal drum @ 200 yards!

Fave affordable 357 has to be Security Six. In preparation for the zombies get a couple of speedloaders for it.

Never fired a shotgun for whatever reason.

I've been helping out an older couple with 6 acres out by the rifle range and the shooting drives that guy crazy. His wife doesn't wanna move tho. He's a bit of a hoarder. Has about 4 years worth of firewood put up but he's having me build 2 more wood sheds!

Velo Vol 02-11-12 02:28 AM

Can't shoot with a camera but can shoot a very large gun?

that map is infinitely nicer than the actual 'mountain.'

datlas 02-11-12 07:52 AM

Stupid snow. Just enough cold and wet crap to make the roads nasty.

Looks like I have a date with my rollers in the basement.
