Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They should send me a $100K royalty check when I hit the 50K posts. Via helicopter and hand delivered by J. Bonamassa who will then play a concert here on July 4.

I wonder if we can get an admin to reinstate the rest of the old deleted Addiction threads.

Yeah, that's critical in FL what with all those massive mountain ranges.

I wish I could stay, but I am heading out to ride. 120 miles today.

Posts in Addiction threads should be excluded from post counts.

We do. Last time we were there, the cheapest Allez was around $900. He likes the Roubaix for the relaxed geometry but I doubt I'll get him to spend that much.

Yeah, I remember the first one and took an oath of purity never to venture into it again. I did ok for a while, but then sheer power of Foo drew me in. How could a thread like this exist in a place where serious cycling discussion takes place?

Well, it's better than Facebook.

a truer measure of one's value to the 41 is not the number of posts, any buffoon can post, it's the total number of posts in one's initiated threads. "wut", "iffy", etc. shouldn't count for diddly in the grand scheme of things. Oh, wait, they don't count for diddly. What we are looking for here is real entertainment and enlightenment.

I have no current home projects so I'm not inspired to frequent plumbing and tiling forums. I need BF and, specifically, I need the 41 in case I can't fast-forward through a commercial.

My threads BTW don't inspire jack.
