I wouldn't touch a Bic disposable with a barge pole -- yours or mine. Schick are much better.
Get used to what your wife uses, then you won't ever run out of razors to use.
Buy your own, and you know that won't be true...

I'm a casual cyclist so make of this as you will.
I got tired of shaving my face about 10 years ago.
So I bought this Emjoi epilator from Costco and used it on my face.
It has been running strong for 10 years now.

I must warn you, this is a hardcore process for your face to handle at first.
Ripping hairs out of your upper lip at high speed will make you cry, but eventually your face gets used to it.
I suspect your legs would be far less painful to do this on since there are less nerves.
After several years of this, many hairs grow back thinner and I suspect many just never grow back at all because it is ripping the entire root of the hair out.
Now I barely use it at all.
I can literally take 20 minutes and just tweeze the big visible hairs out by hand.
I'm hoping in another 10 years, I will never have facial hair again.
The razor companies will go out of business if every one did this, but it works for me.
Just be warned, if you're sensitive, this will be painful.
I would think you guys can handle it on your legs, that's what it was designed for women to do.

Holy crap, you guys are doing it the expensive way. I buy these cheapo twins for a $1.29 for 6 of them. They're not as good as something like a Mach3 or Schick Quattro, but they get the job done.
BTW, don't bother with womens' razors. The clearance is higher than with mens' (undoubtedly due to the fact that most of them are shaving peach fuzz) and you *never* get a decent shave.
Except when dealing with womens' razors which are specifically designed to not work, I can get a good shave with anything including old skool razor blades.

I am also a fan of the double-edged. It's all in prep and taking your time. No need to rush such a girly activity.

Anything more than two blades is marketing BS. Just get the Gillette double blade with pivoting head. Bag of 10 is about $5. Don't waste money on shaving cream either. Just use regular soap (all shaving cream is is foamy soap anyway). I shave every day and one razor last about a full week.

I don't shave my head, but used to use those expensive cartridge systems and they were so expensive I switched to disposable. For me they are just fine as long and the head pitvots. Just make sure you lather up your face really good with soap. I use Lever 2000.

I'm with you on soap. But I use an old-fashioned shaving brush with a shave soap called Colonel Conk's:
https://www.amazon.com/3-pack-2-25-Co...9865136&sr=1-3
It's about $2 a disc, and each lasts over 6 months. More moisturizing than regular soap and smells great.

Shaving is like saddles, gloves, bibs, etc, just because you can function fine with just a cheap blade and lever 2000 doesn't mean everyone else can. The only thing that allows me to shave without irritation is an old double edge razor, double edged blades, brush and proraso shaving creme. If I shaved with your method, I might be able to shave one a week due to the bumps and irritation.

I use a Merkur HD I picked up at a cigar shop a few years ago. Also use the badger brush and cup, with a soap. I used to use the multi-blades and foam in a can, but once I tried this type, no way I would go back. Sure, it takes a few more minutes, but the result is worth it to me. I use Bic blades, I think they're less than a dollar each, ordered online. Something like 5 packs of 5 for $20. I guess it's worth mentioning that I only shave my face.

The alternative is to use duct tape or that heavy duty Elastoplast used for dressings and strapping athletes' joints such as ankles.
Put it on, rub it down hard so the hairs are well and truly embedded in the adhesive, then RRRRRRIIIIIIIPPPPP!!! Beats the smell and pre-prep of hair removal gels and waxes
Disclaimer: I don't use this method, either, except when I have had an injury or need strapping. But it seems to have been very effective at hair removal when the stuff has come off.

I don't know about shaving legs, but why would any man want to shave his face with something that was designed by a marketing team to shave ladies legs and other bits? The idea behind a blade fused into a plastic cartridge was so that they could make a pritty pink one for the ladies and use the same machine to make a manly coloured one for the men.
In my opinion if you want to shave like a man, get yourself a straight razor. Of course a Double Edge razor is perfectly acceptable for the days when you don't feel quite so manly.

Go with the Venus. I have thicker leg hair than most men and it worked fine (when I still shaved). Skintimate with Vitamin E if you start getting rashy.
