Received the $36, 1,200 lumen headlamp last night and rode with it this morning. It blows away my old Geoman 900 lumen Magischine. Same design, more powerful LED. 2,100 lumens combined this morning on the way to work. If I had the 600 lumen NiteRider on my helmet, motorists would have decorated me with tinsel at stoplights.

Here's the link if any of you ride in seriously dark places. Worth every last penny. The customer posted pictures are accurate.

Wow, first Ruokie, now you too. Apparently, I am not as messed up as I previously thought. Now that you guys all admit the similarities in my situation with Ms. Solo, your advice seems more valid. Things are going really good with us lately, however.
Aside from the current medical problems. She told me last weekend, " you are too perfect!" That was the best thing anyone has ever told me. Expecially considering the source.

As for the tooth. At 7am I remembered a bit of advice a friend gave me. Gargle saltwater. Worked like a charm. Pain subsided, and i went to sleep. Then the oral surgeon's office woke me up at 9:30. I'd also like to point out the very day this pain started, Saturday, was also the first day my insurance benefits from my new job kicked in. The new job Ms. Solo inspired me to get. So in a way, she pretty much saved me yet again. I would of been screwed with my old job, and no insurance.

Yes. I rolled with the new lamp and battery this morning (both batts charged with the new charger), and tested it on the old Geoman battery. Works just fine. Was going to buy the Y cord, but why, when you have two batteries (and I even have a spare!)?

If by in-line you mean zero-setback, then yes, I do like a couple of them.

Thomson is bulletproof, but certainly not light.

But ironically lighter than some carbon offerings that often cost much more. I have Thomsons on 3 of my 4 bikes.

FWIW, I have a Masterpiece on my latest build and it weighed in at 187g. This is a 31.6 at a full 350mm. Will be lighter still after it is cut.

It certainly can be easier to disengage online than in real life. I was thinking about real life interaction that doesn't usually translate to the internet.

When you care about someone, it can be hard to see the line between supporting and enabling. But, in real life, you generally have access to more information (you can look the person in the eye, for instance) than you do with internet-only aquaintances. That's what I mean by "easier in real life".
