Thank you. I sent a photo to my doctor to see what she says I need to do or where I need to go.

If it is a grade 3 or severe grade 2 what would I do differently? I am currently using crutches and an air cast. I am also icing regularly and keeping it elevated.

If the ATF (the most commonly injured ankle ligament ) is torn in half that is a grade 3 sprain. Which in a young person = surgery. A partial tear ( grade 2) can often be treated with immobilization

i'm curious what can happen if you don't have it properly diagnosed? i too only had an x-ray and air cast and was on crutches for a week. five years on and it's ok. just feels a little weak and "crunchy".

You are right, I was being facetious. They clearly stated in their opening arguments each week that they were 'a little bit' of each.

So I got both of my wisdom teeth yanked out just now. I have become comfortably numb.

How bad was it? I got them pulled in high school. Or was it during college? Anyway, it felt like I got hit by a Mack truck. Two of them in fact.

I grew up as an apple hater. Lots of good reasons for that.

I have owned a couple of iPhones now and am typing this on an iPad. They are ground breaking. Yes, they aren't computers, but...they work. All the time. Work well and are fairly easy to use.

They aren't computers for sure, but the fact that I can remote a real computer (a PC) I can do just about everything from my iPad. Enough so that I bought a Mac mini to do app development on so that I would have a wheel configurator on the iPad.

Apple stores? Don't know. I avoid them like the plague. Reeks of being a Walmart for pretentious people who love being surround by the huge number of people who all want to be different, just like them.

You'd probably want to do that on the Willamette, or something. Even though they've built a few dams that have considerably calmed the Columbia since L&C days, the stretch from Troutdale to I-5 is just not all that nice a place to yak around. Plenty of other nice spots on the Columbia, though.

My favorite day of kayaking was up at Ridgefield Wildlife Preserve. Unfortunately it looks like the local rental spot was closed this Novemeber. http://www.ridgefieldkayak.com/

I assume you're talking about mellow kayaking and not the Mt. Dew/Red Bull kinda kayaking.

They wear the same shirts. My experience there was horrific. I would pit the four guys who own and run the local PC joint against the collective Apple store contingent, and my guys can even drink during the competition. Just like everything else, Apple will get to a point where their own popularity kills them. They never see it coming.

Admittedly, much of my curmudgeonly attitude is simply from getting older. I know now why my grandpa was like he was, and I respect him even more.

Even my good extraction was pretty bad when whatever they gave me wore off. One bad extraction was... oof... days of real bad.

My main Windows rig is running an OS that debuted in 2001 on hardware that dates to 2004, except for the video card and one of the harddrives, cuz I had to have MORE!

IDK, I am still numb. I'll tell you in a few hours.

What exactly does that mean? You no longer have dreads right?

I just realized, I should of had the doctor weigh those teeth for me. I just shaved some weight.

This will be my next Windows computer (shown next to iPhone for scale) -

...bolted to the back of a 23" touch monitor

It'll serve primarily as my music and movie server client, a daily driver for browsing and as an entertainment/learning toy for the kid.

If s/he had to do more than a few minutes of actual pulling, it's going to be bad (not that the best case is a walk in the park, either).

Hey Rob -

Which remote desktop app are you using on the iPad?

Mrs. rjones28 uses Apple products. They are the appropriate tool for her work (she was raised on PCs, BTW). The only thing she actually bought at an Apple store was her MBP. Everything else was purchased online.

It eventually heals however the ankle becomes less able to withstand injury and prone to repeated sprains/strains, eventually causing laxity of he joint, which over time leads to degenerative arthritis.

But, but, but - that's exactly what you were supposed to avoid by going with Apple!

;)

That happened to me in 1993 playing tennis. Now this happens every two or three years and it always sucks!!!

lol. you should have!

the dreads have been gone for a while. i kept getting it cut shorter and shorter and then ended up bleaching it so i had a bit of a jean seberg thing going on for a while until the mr. admitted to me that he really doesn't like short hair. i've been trying to grow it out but it gets to a certain length where it looks terrible so i cut it short again, much to his dismay.

more recently he said he misses the dreads. i'm not sure what to do about that.
