he often described the dreads as smelling like wet dog (they did, sort of, when i washed them (which i did, at least once a week)) and sleeping next to me was like snuggling with a wool sweater. i was surprised that he missed them. i think that's just how much he dislikes short hair.

i could always have dreadlocked extensions installed, but as i creep closer to 40, i've lost some interest in looking really weird. plus, it really did suck in summer to have a wool sweater on my head and helmet fitment was a nightmare.
