Rode the MTB this morning. Muddy farm fields are muddy.

That's even dumber than my afternoon road ride.

Nope, I just waste too much time with fb, and I don't get much enjoyment out of it anymore. I had a really bad week last week, and it just made me consider things that would help things in the future, and ditching fb seems like a good idea.

I canceled mine for the opposite reason. Barely ever used it anyway. I probably should have posted that I was canceling first, so the 4 poeple I linked to would know I was gone.

I was on FB for a short time years ago when I cancelled & had no regrets. Take that back, I had a problem unsubscribing and regretted joining in the first place. I just joined this group and I'm enjoying everyone's posts. Hope surgeonstone is feeling better. I know the feeling of the room spinning & puking. I drank too much wine while on the beach in Santa Cruz, CA. I realized I had too much when I stood up, the ocean was spinning. The ride back was a lot of fun. I messed up my boyfriend's new car.:( At least I had a better time than surgeonstone. And for those inquiring minds who want to know - yes, I did see him again after our date.

You guys know you're hurting poor Mark's bottom line, don't you? Now he'll have to think twice before buying that mountaintop retreat in the south of France.

So inconsiderate.

I'd like the computer to last a while like this laptop did. Kid will be three in April, so he's a factor going forward. Ease of transfer is important. I have six years of my life on this Dell.

No gaming. I live in Colorado.

Personally, I'd lean away from an All-In-One and go towards separate touch monitor and smallish PC - all of the AIOs that I'm seeing right now have some kind of compromise. On the Dells that you linked earlier, you can get the processing power you need, but the screen is kind of crummy compared to the best out there. This Acer has the decent hardware (IPS screen, touch, good enough processor), but the styling is kinda... polarizing. This Sony has some really cool things going for it (IPS, touch, processor should be fine with either Core i5/i7 and it has an internal battery so that you can use it unplugged for up to 3 hours), but I wish that the resolution was a little better. The Macs are great except they're not touch, and no matter what Tim Cook is saying now, I can guarantee you that they'll be touch within the next two years.

Not yet and not likely, though I have learned in life never to say never.

If it rains tomorrow, I might take the mountain bike for a road ride just to get the rest of the mud off.

This place is a way bigger time-suck than FB and it encourages/enables higher levels of spending on bike stuff.

There is a downside as well.

I spent half an hour cleaning the drivetrain and scrapping muck off it before I put it away. The drivetrain is sparkley, at least.

Good man

coasting 12-08-12 07:41 PM

i walked 3 hours in the rain yesterday after after lunch. My feet ached like hell. I think I must be overweight of something because I didn't feel tired but my feet hurt. Cyclist in training felt no pain on her feet.
