With the FSA K-Wing Compact Carbons, I prefer to only wrap the ends. I thought that was by design, given where the indents stopped on the bars. Besides, I rarely if ever grip the bar on the horizontals.

i could never use bars like those. I'm on the tops more than the hoods and hardly ever in the drops. drops ony for tucking on downhill. i can't stand pedalling in the drops.

Drag 12-08-12 08:15 PM

I guess I'm about 66% on the hoods and 33% in the drops and maybe 1% on the tops. This is where I don't fully embrace the "slam it" mentality, because I like being in the drops to mix things up a bit (more often than not during paceline work) and I don't want them so low to be unusable.

Are we moving on to muddy MTB pics? :)

I'll bite, just how does one clean that? Start with the hose?

rjones28 12-08-12 08:54 PM

I used a rag and a bucket of water. Scrape the big globs off with your fingers.

I can play with the full frontal shots.

How do you like that? Pcad didn't bother to respond to my Nyack connection. He might have me on ignore.

I'm pretty sure miyata man already has me on ignore. Soloist unfriended me on Facebook.

The hits just keep on coming.

Solo deleted his account on face book. I dont believe it was entirely your fault. However, I could be wrong.

I'll lube the chain, but will wait until the mud dries somewhat thereafter. I'll bounce it and the majority of the mud easily falls off. I then come back and do a rag and spray bottle cleaning. Ive never actually hosed any of my bikes down.

Don't even think about it. Those "slam it" total idiots are just floundering in way more testosterone than they know what to do with.
