she needs help and not from you solo. you just try and back away without doing or saying anything drastic or obviously final. just remain friends and let things cool down. you don't know how she will react if you reject her outright.

I already have a song title for the blues number about your love saga. I'm calling it 'Gun Shy'.

Perfect.

Married to your bike? Yikes, that's a bit far for me. I just think they're pretty ;)

I live in a house with opaque vinyl siding.

Besides, I'm afraid of everything. But that doesn't mean I should have a firearm so I can shoot myself or my loved ones, as gun owners tend to do with alarming frequency.

The irony of our gun culture is staggering.

Here's an idea. Fill the gift bike with gas and take it out back a couple hundred yards. Now we are going to conduct a long range experiment that requires thinking straight and tracer rounds. The goal here is to determine whether you are jumping around hoping not finish it off or if you have the steely reserve to cut your losses and put it out of commission with the first shot.

That there is what men call therapeutic.

Gun Shy. One of my favorite albums of all time.

Yeah, well you sit around sucking down pain meds for the better part of four months and that's what happens. Getting skinnier every day ese.

Sane and sober. Hope it lasts.

Being out of physical pain helps.

Here's an idea. I'm not in the military and I don't want to pretend that I am.

I got over that by age 10.

I totally agree. My acid reflux has kept me from riding the amount and intensity as I had done in the past. Until I realised for sure it was the stomach, I couldn't do much about it. Now I'm recovering, my cycling is finally picking up. After Christmas I reckon an addiction time trial may be on the cards.

miyata man 12-11-12 09:04 AM

The only range you have is earshot and in your advanced years we have to yell to even breach that. Let those with grass still on their field play. Ese.

hey pcad

to celebrate being back to fitness, are you going to buy a new bike and drone on about it for 6 months? if not, why not?

coasting 12-11-12 09:17 AM

i've finally got my saddle and bars set up to pain free position. unfortunately it shows i need to raise my bars or change them to one with less steep drop from the tops to the hoods. funnily i had been perfectly comfortable with the previous set up so i guess my body/flexibility has changed so i need to adjust. makes me laugh at the go "get a pro fit" mantra.

No, there is too much guitar crap to procure.

I like it.

Oh, and it's "resolve".
