Some guy on Facebook just asked me what the average speed of the Nyack Ride is.

Talk about a Fred Flashback.

What is a "Suffer score"?

Have no idea. I rarely use heart rate so it only shows up when I ride the cross bike or the trainer. On my other bikes I rely on one of my power meters.

Just took another look at the all-time leading rushers: Emmitt, Sweetness, and Barry, in that order . . . doesn't get any better than that!

Only Jim Brown could have made that list better.

gsteinb 01-12-13 05:22 PM

I rode the rollers and pulled over after one particularly hard set of intervals.

Similar to trimp, or TSS. A score of 100 equals one hour at threshold HR. Time spent in lower zones counts less, time spent in higher zones counts more.

Rushers, not murderers...focus POPS!

Surprisingly, OJ is WAY down the list.

I was offered a spot in a band today, I go and listen to the clips of the woman singer, and it was a facepalm, even for Pcad. Oh boy.

I suck hard enough, I can't play people even worse than me. Good grief.

It's coming around. My playing is improving, I'm finding my voice. I'm enjoying the playing and the song writing, and the performing in front of rooms is getting less nerve wracking. I'll keep putting myself out there @ the open mics and sooner or later the right band situation will come together. It's hard, but almost easier to start your own band. The last band rehearsal I played at they thought they were God's Gift to Rock/Blues. They were not.

The difference between myself and many other musicians on this local level is I really have zero point zero delusions of musical grandeur. If anything, I tend to be overly self-critical. If you want to play music in front of people it's often better to think you are better than you really are than vice versa.

Thought that was a writer's expression?

Hit a record high of 75F here today. Good for winter cycling activities.

It looks nice at that football game in Denver. If by "nice" you mean dumb.

You're an enigma wrapped in a conundrum! How can you be a college fb fan and not a pro fan?

Isn't it spoda rain tomorrow? Won't the MTB end up muck covered? I washed the single speed by rubbing it down with snow and blowing it off with compresses air. I feel very Nordic.

I think it is, but it'll be like 55°. Besides the MTB is my rain bike now. :)
