What happened between WHHHOOOOSSSSSSSSSH and runswithwolves?

And I was the only one that got that technology and exploratory capability go hand in hand which made the proposition absurd.

So, instead of getting the SSCX, I did something considerably less fun but much more useful for me, at this point -

I'll keep Sam off the 41, that should help.

Nice trainer, WhyFi. I have a computerized Tacx, and would have probably been better off with the KK Road Machine. They are a nice, simple piece of work.

WhyFi 01-14-13 01:42 PM

This is probably a close match to VV's temperature tolerance.

I just got the Garmin speed/cadence sensor, too - going to try out Trainer Road when I get it set up.

We went through this same scenario little over a year ago, you are doing the right thing. If it a similar protocol, the first round of treatment will be easy on his system, the second will be tougher. Quality is always better than quantity in this instance. Remember the good times and just let the tears flow when they do.

Sorry to hear about the bad prognosis. But you summed up your options nicely in this post. The guys and gals here will help you through it.

Sad to hear, but it's good to know. 7 or 8 years back, my wife and I brought our kitten in to the vet because she was acting sleepy and disoriented. We got the worst news possible and she was put to sleep less than an hour later. We certainly weren't ready for that when we woke up that morning and it made it all the worse. Enjoy the time left with him, uncle.

In my defense, I realized that I missed the Austro-Canadienne hybrids, and the Chino-Brits. Heck, DG represents 1/3rd of Canada's military forces, and he posts here. We are truly multinational these days.

I know nothing about Trainer Road, but with the KK's well defined power to speed curve and a garmin speed sensor, you can do some nice low budget FTP testing. I don't know if it corresponds to real road numbers, but it is a nice way to show improvement and/or consistency.

Now we're under a flood watch, which would similarly be considered a crisis in L.A.

The long goodbye is tough. Easier in some respects if they go fast.

Yeah, TR has power/speed curves for the more popular trainers. From my understanding, TR runs you through an FTP test and uses that info to tailor training sessions for you.

It is indeed, but you do get that time to be with your best friend. Enjoy the long walks and let hime eat whatever he wants when the decision is made. The week before we knew it was time our boy ate pizza almost every night.
