My New Years resolution is no added sugar or anything with sugar added to it, only fresh fruit dessert and 1/2 size portions for dinner. Oh, and no diet coke.

My own crash diet. Dinner is raw vegetables. Lunch is Turkey sandwich, apple. Cheerios for breakfast. One cheating day a week = normal dinner. I am sick of being this fat. Ive cut soda except for lunch, 1 can per work day. At home its icetea.
Ive been doing this lunch and breakfast thing for a year now with 0 results. Dinner must be the problem. So we will eliminate it.
Plus 30 min on the bike in the am and at night, rollers or trainer. every day.
now we'll see.

rjones28 01-08-13 09:41 PM

You're making me hungry.

Two of my cousins had Dobies - I like them as well. They had a very nice nature and really intelligent. Make sure you go to a reputable breeder. My girlfriend with all the Greyhounds always wanted an Irish Wolfhound. Dillon is a gentle giant. He lives with 3 Greyhounds. Originally, she had 6. She's going to foster a white Greyhound puppy after they retire him from the track. How's Moose doing re: thyroid & ear problems?

I have to say I love some pin-striping.

One of the good things that should help me in court, is the officer even wrote how polite and cooperative I was throughout the process in the police report. My attorney said that will really help. As for the other situation. You're right I wasn't in control as much as I wanted to think I was. This wake up call I had was just what I needed. It didn't matter how many times people gave me advice, she always knew just what so say to reel me back in. Now that my life is in utter chaos, and completely in turmoil once again. I have no choice, but to shut her completely out and work on putting the pieces back together. I can't ever let her or anyone else ever effect me this way. As you could expect Bentley was here for me. I woke up that morning feeling depressed, like I had hit rock bottom. Bentley laid his head on my chest, and tried to comfort me. He is such a great dog. He could tell something was wrong. I love that dog.

If you didn't take a breathanalyzer test, how did you warrant a DUI? Isn't that a requirement? I'm glad you are a polite drunk - some are nasty i.e. my uncle. I would think your wake up call was her lying, cheating, in addition to denying the relationship. It seemed she faired really well from your letter that you were worried she'd commit suicide over. People can't make you do things you don't want to do. It was your choice to let her reel you back in & remain in denial. For heaven's sake, don't ride by her house or any place you could bump into her. There is no need to be concerned about her life.

I'm Bentley's #1 fan and still think he has better qualities than Dolly. Stick with Bentley and your sister, you'll be happier. Wishing you much good health & happiness in 2013.

Biopsy results come back tomorrow or the next day, but the very experienced vet said there appeared to be nodules on his liver, and that's probably malignant cancer, which makes his time shorter rather than longer. Maybe 6-9 months. He said he's been wrong about that before, but between the abnormal cells he saw through the microscope and the liver observation it's likely that it's curtains. But curtains 6 months from now beats putting him down in February, and he'll probably feel fine until near the end. Again, we won't know for certain until the lab report. That's the probable outcome. We're glad we bought him some time.

I'd suggest doing research and join the cancer groups I mentioned. It's free to join. I'm sure there will be others with liver cancer. See how they are treating their dog.

I also tell people Vets have been wrong in their time-line. One Vet gave my friend's dog 3 months to live. Dog lived 2 years longer. She home cooked and had a protocol.

Vets can be pessimistic, and can underestimate the dedication of the pets' owners. One of Machka's cats was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age, and she was told he wouldn't survive long.

He went on to live more than 15 years because Machka and her folks were attentive enough to keep up the shots of insulin. There was no way Sabre was going to die before he had to.

Hate is a wasted emotion and can only be harmful to you - so you are good to go in that area.

This sounds like you still want to be in touch. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=292651 Just prove it to yourself - who cares what she thinks.

Diet sodas are the worst! Also read labels for fructose.

Berries - Berries are, in general, the fruits lowest in sugar -- and also among the highest in antioxidants and other nutrients.

2. Summer Fruits - Melons, peaches, nectarines, and apricots are next in sugar-order.

3. Winter Fruits - Apples, pears, and citrus fruit are moderate in sugars.

4. Tropical Fruits - Pineapple, pomegranates, mangoes, bananas, and fresh figs are high in sugar (guava and papaya are lower than the others).

5. Dried Fruit - Dates, raisins, apricots, prunes, figs, and most other dried fruits are extremely high in sugar. Dried cranberries and blueberries would be low, except that a lot of sugar is usually added to combat the tartness.

Dehydrated berries and summer fruits, when you can find them, are a good alternative to dried.

Fruits Lowest in Sugar -
Small Amounts of Lemon or Lime, Rhubarb, Raspberries, Blackberries, Cranberries

Fruits Low to Medium in Sugar - Strawberries, Casaba Melon, Papaya, Watermelon, Peaches, Nectarines, Blueberries, Cantaloupes, Honeydew melons, Apples,
Guavas -- Pineapple Guavas (Feijoa) and Strawberry Guavas, Apricots, Grapefruit

Fruits fairly high in sugar - plums,
Oranges, kiwifruit, Pears, Pineapple

Fruits very high in sugar -
Tangerines, Cherries, Grapes, Pomegranates, Mangos, Figs, Bananas, Dried Fruit, such as dates, raisins, dried apricots, and prunes
