Heartbreaking, so very sorry Low Cel...

I'm very sorry about your dad, LowCel. My grandfather died a couple days after having a stroke a few years ago. Not the same situation, but a little similar.

Madness.

So how do you accomplish this? Last week, for example, what was your mileage breakdown by day?

That's tough. I wish you peace.

Looks like the Weekly Wednesday Club Ride is on for tomorrow. Prediction is for dry weather, calm winds, and temps in the mid to upper 30's.

Yes. It will be epic.

Maybe.

BTW we call this ride the "Usual Suspects" ride since there is a handful of us that are always there.

This is the basic idea:

I'd say "keep us posted", but of course only as much as you have energy for. I'm sorry.

And, if that avatar is more than just a funny picture, throw the stick when you get a chance.

Velo Vol 02-12-13 09:46 PM

If there was a Ms. Velo Vol, I could put some of these on her spokes.

As you know, most of my riding is done over the weekend, but it's almost a given I will commute at least 60-80-90 miles a week. Last week, it was 76 in commutes, 80 on Sat, with the Worlds mixed in, and Sunday was 40. Our weather has been exceptional, so it has allowed big days over the weekend. I will commute in single digits, as well. Weather doesn't bug me, but ice does.

when temps are sub freezing, how can you be sure there is no ice on the roads?

LAJ 02-12-13 10:04 PM

The weather the days prior, has everything to do with each days ride.

coasting 02-12-13 10:12 PM

i once slipped on fallen leaves. if i can do that, I'm sure I can find the darkest of black ice.

Interesting effect with the helmet... makes it look like you've got tentacles reaching out from the back of your head.
