I'm spending the day cleaning out my parents' closets just clearing out clutter. Aging parents are such a massive facepalm, but so much better than the alternative.

I gave my neice my wife's RAV4 for her 17th birthday last night. She kept saying "I don't understand " over and over again in disbelief. Lemonade out of lemons and all that.

Instant favorite uncle status for Curly.

Spring rain rides rule!

Had a couple of thoroughly enjoyable spring rain rides yesterday. I wasn't even that mad at myself for removing the backscratcher fender from my bike yesterday morning. Time to wash the Free Spirit, now...

I am much more quiet about it in person than on here. But yes, trying to work on that.

Ugh. I am dreading doing that for my folks. They only moved into their current place about 10 years ago but it's already full of junk. But at least they are alive and reasonably self-sufficient. As you said, beats the alternative.

Wasted air time

Good grief a local sports talk show I often listen to has a guest analyzing the US/Mexico soccer game.

This is so dumb that coasting could call in and contribute.

You should have seen the house my grandmother got moved out of. She'd forget what she had, buy in bulk, be unable to get to things because of the clutter, then go buy more. In bulk.

That is full of awesome, RUOkie. Very nice.

Today makes six weeks since my dad passed away, spent the week before that in the hospital with him. Then there was Mom's knee surgery two weeks ago. I wish I was joking but there is very little that has happened in the past seven weeks that I really remember. It seems like I have done nothing but run and try to take care of everyone as much as possible. I was looking at my ride spreadsheet last night and I found it hard to believe I have ridden as much as I have, which is much less than normal. I barely remember even being on the bike.

Life has got to slow down soon. It seems like Dad passed away last week, not six weeks ago.

Agreed. My poor boy needed surgery last year and I certainly couldn't think about anything else. Still, would have been nice to see her.

I do, however, think I'll quiet down about these things here, since it doesn't exactly seem to be helping. Will just mention when things are going well.

ILT drills are the devil.

LesterOfPuppets 03-26-13 10:40 AM

Will never happen.

Time for a run and 49* out there. Break down and put on a shirt? Nah, let's see how this goes.

Still one of the best "bang for your buck" bike brands out there.

At least you have good taste in trainers. ;)

LesterOfPuppets 03-26-13 10:50 AM

That looks pretty hot from here.
