HEY ED,

I was chattin' to an Omara guy yesterday on Beach Rd. I think his name was Warwick Nevins, or Evans, or Wokka, or something. Says he races a lot, and he seemed to know EVERYONE who passed us.

Know him? Seemed like a good 'dude'

I used to see one of those boats dry-docked at the Ventura Harbor, in California. No one ever working on it, just a bunch of empty stubbies rolling around underneath...

Funny you should bring that up. I just wrote off the angryalien yesterday asking them to make a 30sec remake (complete with bunnies, of course). It is totally worthy of such treatment (ie. a load of cr@p)

Watch it!
I don't believe I will Scoz. I got sick of all those ridiculous cut-aways to the friggin cluster. It was making me choke on my coco-pops by the end.

Warren Knevitt. Great bloke.

This guy really needs to come over to The Aussie Thread...

It didn't always happen and I think that it must be my suspension seatpost. It's always been nice and poofy but now it's downright bouncy bouncy.
Is there a way I can tighten it up, or loosen it up?

He'd cop a pounding.....and not the prison type. :D

Good value for us though.

Yes, his english is very good and his post is emminently readable. Judicious use of humour, beautiful structure, and grammatically correct save for the odd faux pas. I do believe he does need to come over here so we can corrupt him.

Brian 12-22-04 03:34 PM

The more idiots, the merrier we are?

PaulBravey 12-22-04 03:39 PM

If he's eating the biscotti from Starbucks he's already corrupted. You're far better off eating the shortbread from Peet's on a bike. Far less chance of losing large chunks, though the crumbs in the drivetrain can be a b1tch.

He's in the US. Otherwise it would have been something like "I keep spilling my beer and getting chunks of pie on my chain..."

ed073 12-22-04 03:48 PM

I rode through McDonalds drive thru once on a dare and bought a thickshake.....then dropped it all over my legs, chain, cranks, derraileurs when I hit the speed hump on the way out...:(

Mates got a larf, though!!

PaulBravey 12-22-04 03:50 PM

I miss steak and kidney pies. The only supplier I've found over here is a kiwi.

climbo was racing, well at least I think he was. If he was the beanpole wearing black then he'll need to go on a diet to stay in this forum: he's far too thin! :) I suggest a few weeks of the supersize me diet. :D

Busted !! Yeah, I WAS out racing, and yes, I was the beanpole in black.

Great night, teams events teaming up each A with a B rider, handicaps, derny, points race, 200TT, Italian Pursuit. Brad and I took out the overall.

Couldn't turn the pedals on the way to the train this morning...had myself a Big Breakfast when I got to the office though, 2 of everything with tons of bacon. Mmmmmm.

What about these guys, I had a few, they were good ! Shipping might cost you a bit to CA but would be worth it.

Do you ride @ China Camp ever? Only place I ever broke a bone while crashing hard.

I know how it feels. I had to do friggin pie in the sky again this morning at a higher HR. Still a lazy pace, but uncomfortable when your legs want to go back to bed :( Nice day for a ride tho. Cool and cloudy, no real wind

Yeah, that's my usual off-road haunt 'cos I'm too wussy to try riding up Mt Tam. Never managed to break anything yet though I did discover that my brakes can't cope with the fire-road descents across the ridge from the nike bunker.

Ta for the url, that might be worth a bulk order.

Amazing what a couple of hundred k's will do. Not a cloud in the sky and a moderate breeze blowing here.

There's my opening useless comment for the day. :)
