Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need a longer seatpost, and a longer stem with a bit of rise (no Viagra jokes, please) asit's a bit cramped, but all in all, did the job better than expected. I'll swap the parts tomorrow, and then it's done. For this week.

Went to the LBS too. What a waste of time. Asked about parts for the Headshok, they have to call Cannondale in the US. Yeah, can you do that for me, and here, take my Amex Gold too, ok? They suck.

ROFLMAO. I'm so glad: I have plans of converting my bike into an aqua bike. That way I can cruise up the coast with no hills

Oh yeah, and well done getting the crate mended!

no thanks -- I've already got a Quadraverb, which isn't very good, but it midis easily with my preamp.

I stopped spending money on that kinda stuff years ago.

What happened to Hitchy buying that Cervelo?

You mean you want me to skip my sleep in? OK 4:00 it is then

Damn I'm being a bit flexible this week. First climbo, now yourself. Fine bunch of sleepyheads.

The course is simple enough (same as the Saturday Coffee Run climbo). Out to Ettalong via Blackwall and Booker Bay Rds, along the Esplanade to Umina, then back to Woy Woy via Ocean Beach Rd. From there climbo will prolly jump on a train (if he comes along), I'll wander back to Gosford.

If climbo's coming I'll meet him at the mobil service station in east gosford at 5:45am and we'll head over to Brisbane Water Dr. Where's the best place to catch up with you?

Wasn't me, don't know what you're talking about. You may want to edit that post, delete all evidence of whoever helped you out...

How in Fark's name would I know? I can't afford to think about top shelf stuff, let alone actual go looking up prices. And besides, there's a large difference between what it's worth and what you can actually get one for

You got upgrade plans for the crate already?

Oh yeah, and be careful it could be a braize on type. Most el cheapo bikes use clamp on.

Find the best price you can for one and that's your maximum for 3pak I would guess, especially if you want to make any money on the deal.

SuperGo = USD92.00
PricePoint = USD77.00

That would be about AUD150 after shipping and mandatory middlemen cuts

The seller has 3 for sale. I prefer to buy in bulk, saves shipping.

I just put up an item with a starting bid of $90, and some tool comes in an hour later with the exact same item starting price $40. I hate that. Oh well, I'm not backin down.

I guess I'm just cheap. I start mine at .99, or $10 if I'm not sure what they're worth. The Dura-Ace are 31.8 clamps, and dealer cost is about $48. I'll bid up to $30 each.

If I'm not at east gosford Mobil 1 waiting... I'm still sleeping.
For the newbie, how do you get any fuel into the body at that time in the morning? Breakfast at 0500 is not an option! I'll be puking by west gosford!

Gday Paul. Fuel light. If you normally have 7 weetbix, just do 3 or 4. Have a second brekky when you get home. It's only a recovery ride (slow pace for an hour and a bit), so you could get by with a cup of OJ.

If I see you at mobil at 5:45 good, if not no problem.
