I had not seen a pic of Billy D before. I thought of this clip.

@BillyD, sorry to not make the New Paltz ride. It would have been a hoot to ride into town with you.
So, the weekend looked crappy and I was set to go visit in-laws (who I really like) with the wife and youngest. But tomorrow's forecast improved amazingly, so I am going to shoot for an overnight ride, heading west first, then heading home Sunday with a 15-30 mph tailwind.
Bike is almost packed, and adventure awaits.

That, and the damn bagpipe music they play at fire department funerals are two of my least favorite adventures these days.
Fortunately, i will live forever, so it's not a real concern for me. I can see where you twerps who are turning the odometer to 50 should be worried, 'though.

Anybody have a C/Y Zeiss 28 f/2.8 (preferably MM) sitting around gathering dust? I'd love one before our little trip to Duluth/north shore in about a month...

This would be very unusual for me five years ago, but I now sit and compose scathing posts in threads that deserve to be scathed for their total and utter banality and sheer inaccuracy... then I delete them.

Another huge bonus of being on vacation: Not a peep out of the idiot box since Sunday.
