Backwards Baseball Cap, will it make me look like a ******?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Biking can be casual and enjoyable and not a life and death race. Unless you're showing up to your group ride in a backwards hat then wear what you want.

I wear a baseball cap backwards sometimes when riding in metro Boston, because my hair was much longer than it was now and would get into my eyes. Putting the cap end front would cause the wind to pick it off my head, but after a good haircut I dont bother with the hat anymore. Hell, I wear my hat backwards if I'm too lazy to put my hat back in my backpack.

What about material?

Cotton only, or is poly-cotton blend acceptable?

You will look like a ****** ***. If anything, get a new helmet that fits and feels better and/or a cycling cap. Place the cycling cap underneath the helmet (as theyre designed for this) or simply wear your new cycling cap. It should help with comfortability and prevent you from looking like such ****.

After reading most of the OP's posts, I don't think anyone will mistake him for Einstein regardless of how his hair looks.

Particularly beneficial since the price of coffee keeps rising. Now with the money you've saved a new wheelset?

Pantani sez backwards cycling cap is plenty aero, and it's OK to wear tight pink lycra and earrings.

I'm going to make a serious point.

The backwards cap is a practical adaptation because it keeps the sun off the back of your neck.

Oh, and giving someone the look works best with a bald, bare head.

But if you give him the look with sunglasses up on your head, he'll just laugh at you and mutter "stupid american".
