Why are snobs against seatbags, frame bags, and/or handlebar bags?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think a vintage crappy plastic vinyl 70's bag would be ok.

for training, I like to strap a seat bag around each ankle. It ensures that I have all the tools I need for myself and other riders AND it makes my bike look classy. On race day I dont need any of that stuff and my performance is better. Plus I'd hate to look like a nerd with a seat bag. ewww.

my biggest regret when i bought my fizik saddle bag was that i fell into the trap of thinking a small bag would look better. now i wish i had a bigger bag which can carry more. bags do not make bikes look ugly. ugly bikes are ugly in themselves and good looking bikes are just good looking. you can't put lipstick on a pig and all that.

So, how many saddle bag users also use Camelbacks?

Wouldn't a person that refuses to use a saddle bag be more likely to use A hydration pack? It would keep the bike sleeker than one with bottles & cages, and give them a way to carry their spare tubes/toolkit.

CamelBak | RACEBAK 2L Wearable Hydration System for Bike & Triathlon

Done. Now what do I do about those unsightly waterbottle bosses?

For me it's simply out of respect and also admiration.

I don't wear professional team jerseys not because I don't want to mistaken by regular people as a pro tour rider, or be seen by other cyclists as a "Fred", I simply stay away from the replica pro jersey because I don't believe I'm currently worthy or have the merits to wear one.
I mean maybe when I can put out over 500w non-stop for a few minutes then maybe, just maybe, I might start wearing the team jersey and kit of my favorite team but until then I'll stick to the generic jerseys and suffer in solitude.

For me it's a completely internal thing, probably my OCD so do feel free to come after me for it but I believe these pro jerseys should be earned even more than the pro team jerseys I'm talking about the classification jerseys like the maillot jaune, maillot rojo, maglia rosa, polka dot jerseys etc.

Others riders may do as they wish but I will admit that I did cringe recently when I saw a guy wearing the LCL Yellow Jersey on a club ride.

That would be a logical, but probably incorrect, conclusion.

Small and tucked right under the seat and it makes no noise while going over bumps! I fit a spare tire, CO2 cartridge and pump thingy, multi tool, tire levers, chain quick link and patch kit!

Damn, if I had know an under-seat bag could hold all that, be so small, and look so good, I would have switched to one a long time ago... NOT.
