Why are snobs against seatbags, frame bags, and/or handlebar bags?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh so close. This may do it. Sometimes the changeover doesn't occur until there are two or three posts too many on the last page, then they all go over to the new page at once. Or at least that is what I have noticed.

EDIT: Yep. This one did it. You're welcome.

That's just the way the website is managed locally (on your computer) - once you reply, it'll often stack your post on to the bottom until you refresh the page.

Yeah, I had already just tried that and observed what you said. 15 pages! I am so proud to be part of this. Sigh.

I can't use a saddle bag because it looks too much like a scrotum, ball-less and flaccid or wound tight around bovine, bulging testicles. I get what you mean on the functionality, which is why classy cyclist bros stuff tools and gear in a pocket for the same reasons we don't bolt spare tires and tools to the trunks of our cars. Oh yeah, no floppy, banging around, falling-off, losing stuff. We pro, ya'll.

You should have a doctor look at that for you.

It all boils down to people's needs to stir up crap on a forum. Do what you want, nobody REALLY cares that much. It's just internet talk.
What is a dork disc? I guess if I have to ask....

Is it spelled disc or disk?

I vote for disk. Maybe a good BF 41 Poll, just in time for Election Day!

I looked it up a couple of weeks ago and was surprised to find disc preferred. That makes some sense if you think of shortening discus. I do think that both are used. Something about different applications I think. I just couldn't get it straight what the difference was.

I may have lived a sheltered life. Or, the thought of having one of those on my bike still was so horrible that I completely shut it out of my memory.

That is sooo retro. I had one on my Schwinn Varsity and Colgate, as well as my Browning (first bike I ever bought new).

If you're going retro steel, you almost have to have one.

I keep my tools in my jersey so I can hop on another bike if I like. That and to tap fellow cyclists with my air pump to let them know I'm passing on the left, "on YER left!"

This thread does have value! 15 pages and I realized when I washed my bike last weekend I forgot to put my seat bag back on! I'm glad I didn't have any flats last night...

I had trek bag simialr to this one. Notice the "quick cleat". I bought a "male" half of the cleat for each bike and switching from one the other was simple.

I decided I wanted something slightly larger. This topeak aero wedge (MEDIUM) is now dedicated to my roadbike.

It doesnt matter how many pages it takes to hammer out this critical issue and come to a unanimous consensus amongst all BF'ers, were in it until the end now!

This thread got me thinking. I can go with one sticky patch, one CO2 cartridge, and an inflator head tucked in the side of my sock. Jersey pockets stay empty, no bag, and I am faster without all that weight.
