I have a 1989 or 1990? 200sc that has a DA eight speed group with indexed DT shifters and a EMS fork. The Shimano date codes are all 1989, FWIW the original receipt was for $2600.00.

I took a 26"mtb and put 27.5 wheels and tires on it. it did everything I claimed. Much of the same advantages of going to a 29er off road, but retaining much of the quickness of 26".
