Craigslist find

I saw these cranks on my local Craigslist but I don't know much about vintage pricing or even if these are very rare. I am in Connecticut and can pick these up and ship if still available if anyone is interested.

https://hartford.craigslist.org/bik/4272147165.html

Nice condition Sugino crankset, 52 x 42 chainrings. Outer chainring is pantographed. Low wear on chainring teeth. Fits on conventional square tapered bottom bracket axle.....$20

Contact me via email if interested

Despite the fancy details they look like a pretty basic crank and the ring actually appears swedge on to the arm rather than a milled one piece.

If this is happens to be your CL listing, it is not only against the rules to self post it here it is also very tacky. If your member trying to sell things it needs to be in the for sale threads.

I am sorry I didn’t clarify. These are not mine, I do not have them for sale, and I have no affiliation with the seller. I am a new member here and saw these near me on Craigslist. They didn’t look very rare to me but I figured someone might be able to use them for an older build. Seeing as they are small, and not expensive, I offered to facilitate shipping to someone who might be interested. I was just trying to help someone out, nothing more.

To eliminate an issues from this point forward if you are interested in the cranks, please contact the seller on your own. Thanks.

I understood that you were offering to facilitate if someone wanted them, but $20 is a going rate for something like that, and likely something that someone could find locally, sometimes for free. I think that's why folks assumed you might be posting your own sale thread. No big deal.

Welcome to bike forums! I've found some great things on the Hartford Craigslist, including an upgraded Burley Tandem with new wheels and drivetrain for peanuts. Happy searching.

Those are fantastic bikes if it's all original, great for touring or commuting, very comfortable riding bikes and even more so when loaded with touring gear; I would snag that fast if I was in Cleveland...but alas I probably wouldn't since I have a Schwinn touring bike anyways so no need for another.

I know that some people love those things. That's why I posted it - just on the off chance that a fellow BF member was looking for one! According to the ad description and the catalog link in the ad, it seems to be an original with all original components. The headline of the ad appears to be incorrect - the bike is a '88, not '98.

Why? Not only a theft deterrent but a sign that the bike hasn't been used a lot (not much worn off paint).

If he's only 'considering' selling they must need a photo gallery section on Craigslist instead of putting it in the For Sale listings.

Sounds like a guy that is not enthused about selling his bike just yet.

[h=2]1972 Nishiki Safari Touring Bike (Milwaukie)[/h]

Hello All,

I am considering selling my 1972 American Eagle Nishiki Safari. The bike is all original with exception to seat, seat post, and front derailleur. I have all the original accessories: front and rear bags, front and rear racks, front and rear lights, generator, frame pump, and water bottle. All in good condition.

Send me an email to see the bike, or talk about price or trades. Not looking to get some insane amount of cash, just want to make sure the bike ends up with the right buyer.

I agree-it's a wonderful looking bike and a decent price IMO if it is all there.

I'm full up on old Trek's right now (and the bike fund is broke because of it), otherwise I might play ball on this one.

Does this mean you realized that "Milwaukie" is part of greater Portland, as opposed to "Milwaukee," which is part of that arctic freezie polar vortex?
Yeah, same location for both posts. It's why I don't list Gresham as my location.
