Nice looking DB Master, for cheap:

https://spokane.craigslist.org/bik/3820638866.html

[h=2]DiamondBack Master Road Bike Shimano SX100 components ~58-60cm - $165 (Post Falls, ID)[/h]

I have a nice Diamondback Master road bike in excellent condition. This bike features Shimano SX100 components front to back, including V-shaped 700c wheels, gearing, crankset, brakes, and combination brake levers/shifters. The bike includes two saddles; one being a Specialized with gel inserts, the other being a Felt cushioned. Also includes clipless pedals, I'm not sure what compatibility they are; I don't have the cleats. The CR-Mo steel frame seems to be a good fit for me (I'm about 6'-1"), so I guess it would be either a 58 or 60cm (about a Large). $165 cash, call Bob at 208-660-2889 (no text please) to take a look at it. I also have a Schwinn trainer stand (with adjustable resistance) I'm asking $35 for.

I'm second in line for the $60 'unknown brand' MTB I posted earlier - it'd be over an hour drive, but even in the poor pics, it kinda reminds me of a Surly LHT or some other touring frame... Seller responded to my e-mail that the first responder has two days. If I was the seller, the first person with cash in hand would be the buyer!

As an aside, anything I should look for to confirm the identity of the 'unknown' MTB?

I think they have been discussed in a different forum. It is of course a team replica and I think sports the typical 501 frame and this one seems to have maybe Z series from '86ish? The RD being a newer replacement.

I also think this bike was listed a few months ago. I was thinking of trying to take a look on one of my trips to WilkesBarre/Scranton area.

MOTOBECANE Grand Touring 57cm 10spd - $117 (fishtown)

https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/3862126010.html

"Motobecane Grand Touring 57cm (center-to-center) Double-butted VITUS tubing. 32-33" standover. 27X1 1/4
Mavic rims/Shimano quick-release hubs. front rim has a wobble in it, maybe it can be trued out, not sure. rear spins pretty straight, tiny hop in it. (i took a 5 mile ride on these wheels and the issues weren't that noticeable -- mostly requires that the front brake be adjusted with a little more clearance.) frame is structurally sound: no dents/cracks/rewelds/bends. horizontal dropouts in great shape. forks/dropouts straight.
3ttt stem/bars (made in Italy) are in really nice shape. bars could use a re-tapeing. Weinmann centerpull brakes/quick-release levers function great. Carlton hoods. SR APEX 170mm crans and 52/42 chainsweels in awesome shape. Shimano 600 deurailleurs and Suntour click/frinction shifters move the chain somoothly to a Suntour 5-speed Pro-Compe freewheel (Spins really well). Tange bb. Lyotard pedals spin fine. SR Cusom seat post 26.0, and Unicanitor Brevettata (made in Italy) seat. dont forget the sweet lightweight Bluemels Club Special (made in England ) front and rear fenders.
... would recommend at least changing the tires as soon as possible ...are dry and showing cracks ....
change the wheel .... pretty sure a 700c will fit (brake shoes have plenty of range)"

Definitely NOT a UO8. Probably a PA10 (entry level racer). For $125 I'd be all over it!

[h=2] Large TREK 520 Touring bicycle SHARP - $500 (South city)[/h]
Very nice. Super clean. Great paint. Has mounts on forks for racks as well as on rear triangle. Long wheelbase. Shifts great. Brakes work well also. Very smooth and comfy ride. Has good tires and brand new tubes. No dents or anything bad to speak of. Im the 2nd owner and this has always been garaged. Serial number is 1398462 (first number is hard to make out, it is either a "1" or an "L"). 58cm top tube, center to center, 60cm seat tube, center to center. 35 inch standover (pretty tall. I am 5'10 or 11 and it is close clearance). Has computer with cadence sensor but needs batteries. This bike is very stock. Has 27" wheels (standard for the time for touring bikes. You can switch out to 700c as some people do). Call or text or email. Text is best and quickest for me. three one four 623 6907.

I remember someone here looking for a touring bike in this size. Not a great asking price, but if your serious about a classic touring rig you could do worse.

I've made arrangements to pick this one up tomorrow morning. It looks somewhat like the Raleigh pictured above. Same bars anyway!
It is an hour or so away, but if it is, SCORE!!!

I know there are some pieces-parts on this bike that are worth more than the asking price -- look at the bars!!!
