On the down side, the paint primer was misapplied and paint was peeling off.

It's not a great deal, but the bike Id really want is the Pinarello MTB...it's just such an interesting, unusual find.

deals are out there if you are fast and very lucky. I have had my share... coolest MTB I have seen is on a parallel thread: that 80s stumpjumper sport mixte. I have never seen a bike like it.

Cheap Raleigh 531 frames!! These were advertised a couple of weeks ago but I did not post them because I figured they'd be gone instantly, but they're advertised again so get posted now.

Raleigh Reynolds 531 Road Frames

Raleigh Reynolds 531 Road Frames - $60 (Mechanicsville)

-58cm Raleigh Competition GS Road Frame, Fork & Campagnolo head set. Reynolds 531 steel tubing, price is low due to a dent in the top tube. Very good paint & decals though. $60

-56cm Raleigh Record Ace. Reynolds 531 steel tubing, some imperfections in the paint but overall still pretty good. $100 (frame, fork & head set) or $150 with all original parts (Suntour Cyclone)

Beautiful machine. Makes me think of a thoroughbred or some exotic motorcycle like the early Bimoto Tesi begging to be ridden.

Way out of my league but if I had the means and owned it, certainly would experience it. Regardless of any idiosyncrasy, I find the out of the ordinary racers interesting. Recently missed the chance at a super priced Medici with Hellenic stays.

Until one really has some time with a machine, its tough to base an opinion from others reads. Years ago when Kestrel made their second generation mtn. bike, the CS-X, lots were mocking the idea, calling it plastic and risky, I took a chance on one. Perhaps due when I was younger into motorcycles, dabbled in racing, dirt and track. I loved that CS-X and if not been stolen from me, would be riding it today.

No problem! I figured someone would be able to use it for a build. I would've jumped on it if I hadn't already bought a Superbe set from another forum member.

European 10 Speed Touring Bike-Works Great!

European 10 Speed Touring Bike-Works Great!
Mildenberger AMV 27" bicycle. I have researched this brand relentlessly online and called every bike shop in town and can only find one online picture with the name Mildenberger, but it was not this style. I have emailed that European web site, so you may want to look at this now before I learn it could be worth a lot more than I am asking.

The bike rides perfect. I believe it is a 10 speed. It has Shimano gears and an Italia touring riding seat. There are stickers on the bike from European companies. It is a very vintage cool looking bike in burnt orange. I believe it is a woman's bike because of the angle of the center bar. There is a child seat included. It has lights and reflectors and a toolbox below the seat. Aero Coronado pedal bar. Etched into the handlebars it says Friko Super Touring (drop handlebars). Union generator.
The back light is missing the bulb and cover but the wire is there to hook it up. The bike has a few minor scrapes, the brakes are good, the shifter is good and the tires are both good Michelin tires.
I know nothing, but here is another one. This has a strange swoopy mixte frame and a neato airbrush fade on the lugs.

I believe that is called a "berçeau" by the French. Or at least, it's very similar to one. The only pictures I've seen with that name attached have only had the first bend near the seat tube, not the second near the dropout. The extra bend may have been necessitated by the chainguard.

Nice. berçeau = cradle, jumele = paired, col du cygne = swan neck

A seller in Orange County is unloading a couple of nice bikes. They're not cheap, though, so maybe they don't belong here. Still, if one absolutely must have either...

^ I doubt he'll get too many nibbles on either the Masi or the Cinelli at those prices. In addition, with the "Flying C" on the top tube and fork, the Cinelli appears to be newer than 1982, or is a repaint. Also, do my eyes deceive me, or are those dropout faces not parallel?

No comment from me, except for a thanks for the heads up. I had missed the listing, but the set will be a good fit on my vintage Trek.

I LIKE seeing on of my FS items showing up on this thread.... a bicycle I had listed was mentioned here & sold within a week.

Maybe coincidence.... but I'll take any help I can get.

Cheers.
