That’s hilarious, you fixed gear elitists who are emulating messengers who are emulating track racers are gona point fingers. How about everyone ride their freaking bikes and STFU.

this thread has inspired me to run a freewheel today for the hell of it...haahahaha to the toolshed...

*puzzled look*
I just... why do you care if people ride fixed or freewheel? What's the big deal? I mean, I'm riding fixed; I tried freewheel for about 5 minutes, and yeah I thought, "This is dumb, I just just ride my geared bike." But maybe some people like freewheeling it, and why is it your -- our -- right to criticize them for it? And splitting the forum? I think that's dumb. We'll end up with another vintage/road bike situation... "Hmm... my bike is older, but it's a road bike. Should I post in vintage or road?" Especially when you consider freewheelers are fixed gear bikes from a certain point of view: if you're running 44x16 on a freewheeler, that gear's pretty fixed. Ain't no changing it until you get back home and take it apart. :) |

Chain-driven fixed gears are totally lame-ass, and should be banned from this forum. After all, you can technically change gears by swapping out cogs and chainrings. So the gears aren't really "fixed".
Nope, only penny farthings and unicycles should be allowed. Oh, and children's tricycles, too. |

Anyway, this IS the SSFG forum, so you just shut up or hassle the mods to change the situation. Currently, SSers are welcome. I like to think that SS and FG are brothers, so a common forum is logical. The drivetrain is so similar that it makes sense from a mechanics point of view. If you stop your silly childish hating, it'll be nice and cozy in here for everyone. Actually, I see no problem with riding a track frame SS. It makes sense if you want SS and aggressive geometry, or just a 700C SS that doesn't have the useless crap like der. hangers. It's not like it damages the frame. (I ride fixed) Edit: too lazy to read all the crap. If you were jokin, brunop, then you are not a dick. You just have a crappy sense of humour. |
what's up with people not knowing what the term "fixed-gear" actually means? it doesn't mean that you're stuck with that ratio. it means that you can't coast. recognise, *****es.
|
Screw this man. I CAN'T WAIT 'till I turn 18. Then I'm outta here!
This is soo lame. I'm gonna get a job and start my OWN forum...with just cool people. :D |
