i never got the whole notion as to why all these fixie hipster kids that prefer to drink beer rather than reach somethin healthy for you like water or gatorade or something during or after a ride. Like for me, i drink only on special ocasions, not everyday; I just drink alochol on outings of some sort but not on a bike or afterwards, or in a shower.

I've done this for years. Nothing is more relaxing after a good ride.

You have to walk all that way? where do you find the energy?

beer has everything your body needs. So does a shower. So in actuality, we're getting way more benefit than just drinking water, which only has water.

Do some research next time.

i love how that this thread is as long as it is.
and also that someone has already dropped the h-bomb, because we all know that only hipsters drink beer. the entire brewing industry, supported for centuries by hipsters on fixed gear bikes...

dude, let's be serious, noone thinks gatorade is healthy,

addditionally i checked with a chemist and there's no truth to the increased drunkeness theory...

I think the point he was getting across is that only hipsters put fluids in their body. Beer, gatorade, water, whatever. Go back to practicing no hand trackstands with your evian, ****er.

Last year in school, my girlfriend of 4 years and I broke up during the week of all my engineering finals. Best week of my life, because I somehow did well on all of my finals with a study plan of taking naps all day, and in between the naps I'd take showers with copious amounts of beer.

Actually the beer in the shower thing is slightly true. It's a mutation of drinking in a hottub, which makes you dehydrated. This will make you more intoxicated, but unfortunately at the expense of worse hangovers of course.

Aren't you fancy? Beer is healthier for you than gatorade, especially if you're drinking dark beer.

I probably drink more water than you anyway, at least 4 liters a day, and copious amounts of beer and whiskey in between.

Maybe I should step up my beer in the shower behaviour. The girlfriend is always hassling me to shower more. I could ad a morning shower and a beer to my jameson before biking to work routine!

I just finish my beer before I start lathering up. I think the ideal set-up would be not a cup, but some sort of insulated holder.
