Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Thanks. I just got a one GTB, and have a second arriving in 2 days. I know for sure now I want to powder coat one of them.

^That GT is slick^

Here's an update of my BareKnuckle - new Charge Spoon saddle and 1/2 leather bar wrap. Sorry for the shadowy garage door pic:

Yeah, it took a while to locate a vendor that would sell overseas - there are no US distributors just yet. I contacted Charge Bikes directly and they sent me to Avon Valley Cyclery - enquiries.avc@btconnect.co.uk.

If you email them, they can explain how to place an order - (they carry the saddles but don't have them listed as a product on their site.)

I was looking everywhere for a sporty-looking brown saddle that wasn't a Brooks. The white version is really gorgeous. Oh, and I love it - terribly comfortable for me.

My Surly CrossCheck, out on the ice / snow / mess. Good fun - 18"+ of frozen and refrozen snow and ice and footprints and ski tracks and a few bike tire tracks. Was a blast.

It was a little gnarly the first time cuz I spun the rear cog loose about 1/4 turn even with the lock ring. Today I used red Loctite on both the cog and ring and am currently letting it dry. The red stuff is pretty much permanent so I should be good. Since I was a kid I always wondered why the gears were always on the right side. Anyone have an answer?

Hope you like

Someone has a sweet type 2, Makes me miss my single cab. Oh ya, nice bike.

That Surly makes me want a cross bike.

How is the Dingle Cog (hihihi) working out with just one chainring? Do you switch gears often?
