Compact EVERYTHING is cool, dude! Frame geometry, double cranksets instead of triples for those who can't survive the hills, etc!

I've seen comments like this about the Langster before and I just don't get it. I am very comfortable on this bike and at the end of the day they all accomplish the same thing.

- it's not a fashion statement to me.

I am simply trying to save gas money and get some exercise. For all of those folks out there wanting to do the same, I highly recommend the Langster.

Non-level top tube, words, positive rise stem.

Flawless looking bike. Maybe lose the rocket ring and put a sugino ring on it or something, but other than that, flawless bike.

Cable housing is too short.

Good statement. I don't like the langster city series but when you put it that way its hard to argue about if the bike is cool or not. You loke it and it works for you... good enough.

you should consider getting a new fork built for it with less rake than the fork that's on it, something real close to the original fork rake. it will make the ride much more stable.

I love how people are always more offended by illustrated posts. If I had just posted "-1" you would've probably ignored me.

The black lettering on the frame before I painted it was not the original. I'm waiting to still track down the Original decals.
I didn't want this build to be my normal classic ride.
Fair enough.

And, yea, that's a nice anal ******.

yeah. I've been hunting for one. I never planned on putting that fork on the bike. C&M said that they would correct the original for and when it came back from the paint shop it magicly had a different for on it. They even charged me for it. I couldn't even really do much about it since it was a special paint job and getting another painted fork for it would have taken a few more months to get.

What about the geometry? Is it the 73.5° seat angle? The 74.5° head tube angle? The 39" wheelbase? Is 50mm not enough or too much trail?

danimal4lovin 04-20-08 03:50 PM

my bike....i feel i should be wearing a tuxedo when i ride it though, haha...

Don't use a lens hood next time.

EDIT: The bike isn't even in frame. Geez.

If you are going to take a picture of your bike, at least try. Use the viewfinder.

Yeah, and I'm usually the one making them.
