The pedals are MKS Sylvans and clips with EAI laminated straps and Toshi buttons. Actually, St. Louis is a good place... Its taken me time to find the goodness, but its here, hiding beneath the surface. It was a bit of a culture shock moving here a few years ago from Santa Cruz, CA, but I've found my kind here. And yes, I do take comfort in my chrome lugs. :D peace, sam |

The wheelset was an older wheel set off of my pinarello, for which i just bought a new wheelset. The rest of the parts i had around the house. |

what kind of rear hub is that? I have a cheap Quandro and that axel looks like mine...sticking out almost an inch on either side past the lock nuts; ready to snag pant legs, leg flesh, door frames and anything else that I get to close with... |

Just finished putting my girls bike together. Got the whole thing minus the pedals from Tim! Thanks man she loves it. IRO rear hub, Pogliaghi TT frame, Hatta Headset, Selle Italia Flight saddle.

finally done basically an internet built bike. frame, stem, seatpost, saddle, cranks all off ebay. wheels, bb, cog, chain, bartape purchased online. forgive the budget cranks and wheels, i'd love some campy pista spinners but alas...the sugino rd's are actually pretty nice. all in all i'm quite pleased.

Gorgeous bike and very classy. However, IMHO eggbeaters look wrong. Track pedals and steel toe clips complete the picture.

i wouldn't disagree with ya about the pedals, but the eggbeaters do look slightly better than the blue candy sl's i have. but yeah, some nice mks pedals and straps would be nice.

I posted this bike here a while ago but since I have changed things around a bit.
Heres the details: -1982 Schwinn World Sport frame -Sugino GLP cranks 42t -Surly flip flop rear hub, quando front hub, laced to ritchey vantage crossports -DuraAce 16t track cog -specialized armadillos 700x25c (going strong since october) -shimano sealed bb -Brooks professional saddle (taken off an awesome thrift store bike that cost me $15!) -generic stem off a Schwinn Sprint, bars from an old Peugeot -cut up inner tube as bar wrap I have it set up like this to try out a set up for some fixed gear racing we might start around these parts (Delaware). My normal commuter bars are a pair of el toro bullhorns with red bar tape and red oury grips. |
