did he complain about the bike not fitting? why and more importantly how are you going to advise someone on the position of their saddle when you have no idea of their measurements? why are you trying to answer a question that was never asked? you just like hearing yourself type?

shapelike 11-18-08 08:27 AM

Can I throw a UCI regulations fit?

lots of people have bikes that don't fit properly and they don't complain. i'm just throwing an idea for him out there. he can try it or not but moving the seat back will probably be better for him. And yeah that bike probably wouldn't even make UCI regulation as far as setback goes.

what are you mad because i'm not joining in stroking each others penis' in here? ruining the mood for you or something?

walking disease 11-18-08 08:57 AM

Thanks, I'll try it out.

2wheelsgood 11-18-08 08:58 AM

i'm not mad. I just don't see why you would make an unnecessary comment like that when you've never seen the rider. it's like someone posting a picture of a pair of shoes and you replying with "you should've gotten size 12 instead of 11" without knowing how big the persons feet are.

you don't see why i made it?
i made it because if he decides to try it out and the bike fits him better then i will have helped him.
someone once asked me if i really needed a reach so short on my bike i thought it was good where it was. well i ended up moving to longer reach over a period of time and now my bikes have about 3-4cm more reach and it works better.
i maybe would've figured it out on my own but it happened sooner since that person mentioned it to me.

My budget singlespeed. $26 and change. Got most of it at the "recycling" center. Bought some new cables, housings, bar tape and a powerlink to shorten the chain. Perfect for a fun beater bike.

I also don't see why you made a fit recommendation when he wasn't complaining about comfort.

Very cool -- I think the only thing holding you back is the Rocket Ring's look. How much weigh savings from swapping the stock steel fork for the Kinesis? Do you know how heavy your entire build is?
