did he complain about the bike not fitting? why and more importantly how are you going to advise someone on the position of their saddle when you have no idea of their measurements? why are you trying to answer a question that was never asked? you just like hearing yourself type?

i'm not mad. I just don't see why you would make an unnecessary comment like that when you've never seen the rider. it's like someone posting a picture of a pair of shoes and you replying with "you should've gotten size 12 instead of 11" without knowing how big the persons feet are.
now you tell me exactly where I gave anyone hell for not speaking nice. the point of my comments were to point out your useless unasked for advice that you offered. good luck learning to "trackstand like a man". ****** |

Don't listen to them. It looks just fine.
well maybe a silver seatpost to match the stem and bars and a white saddle if you're worried about that kinda thing. |

my point is you could advise him on his setup if the picture was of him actually riding the bike. without a rider to reference you have no idea where the saddle should be. or the seat post. or the stem. based on the pic of the bike what length of cranks should the rider be using? 165? 170? you can't know the answer to that.
as far as crank length, run whatever is comfortable. the PC has a high BB i guess so he could run a longer crank if he wants and have no worries about pedal strike. i ride the same length cranks on all my bikes so i can get setback very close to the same. anyway, there is really no need for you to get all worked up over a comment like "you should try...", i said it because it's very likely that he could have his saddle adjusted better, plus it just looks funny the way it is. whether he chooses to try it or not is his choice, maybe it will help him out a bit...maybe it won't. no big deal. |

This isn't my bike, it's my girlfriend's, but since I built it for her, I figure its ok.
http://velospace.org/files/yoonabike.jpg Frame: 80s lugged Univega 46cm (I think) frame Handlebars and Stem: generic aluminum flat bars trimmed 4 inches, stock stem Fork and Headset: stock fork and headset Front wheel: 700C X 18MM clincher (they look like unlabeled Weinmanns to me) Rear wheel: 700C X 18MM clincher Crankset and Bottom bracket: used crank and stock bottom bracket <-soon to be replaced with a red Novatek crank Saddle and Seat Post: Troxel blue vinyl and stock post Pedals and Chain: k370 Cog/Gearing et cetera: 16t freewheel, shimano caliper brakes |
PS. I know the chain isn't tensioned, that'll be fixed too.

I'd dump you.

We're actually a foot apart in height (I'm 6'4" and she's 5'4"... makes things interesting, heh) |

**** no. she won't be so happy when everyone's laughing at her jank ass ride.
edit: I'm totally kidding btw. I'm sure she's stoked, and I've seen a lot worse. I hope she has fun on it. |
Well, at least you put brakes on the front and back...

the supercorsa pista needs some nice box rims, h+sons just don't look right. maybe it would look better with a better photo.
