Got a new frame...too excited...will post pics soon.
|
Here is my frame, Presto, and recent parts that just arrived from John @ businesscycles.com I'm really excited for this build. Waiting on rims from Freewheel and I have to order a seatpost, then I will finally get to ride it!

thats gonna be an sweet bike, congrats dude.
|
jonb - ready by next Thursday???
and please tell me that you are gonna push that track iron around a velo too |
Yeah, that'ss awesome. Very classy.
*Heh, no pun intended with the 'ss |
Naw,it will not be ready by next thursday, the rims will not be in until mid october :/ but I've got my merckx to ride :) Yeah I will definitely take the Presto to Hellyer and see how I fare!! I can't wait to ride this bike.
My only doubt with the whole entire project is whether I am doing the right thing by not repainting the frame. I just keep wondering if I should restore/repaint the frame before I buld it up. My opinon currently is to leave it as is and ride it forever in its original state. Beats me. Thanks for the compliments! |
My new(and only) fixie...its a surly steamroller frame that I stripped of decals....Its pretty much all economy priced parts but I love it and I look forward to gradually upgrading it...

i havent actually put it on a scale, but i suspect 14 to 15 poundish.

jonb, i'm really glad to see that you went with the royal nuevo pedals and the 75 bottom bracket -- loose bearings are the jam.

Ok, two fixies of different flavors...recently I've been mixing the flavors though and taking the Pista where it really wants to run...

WOW! Some awesome pics. Here is a pic of my craigslist find and the accessories I through on it! :) she is a beauty!
|
how do you like the speedblends?
|
I love them so far! It is going to be great to add some color to the winter! :) I am going to put slime tape in the inside to help with flats. I also need to put fenders on the bike but that will come with time. Perhaps next week! :)
