Indeed, the drunken crow has emerged once again from it's slumber. . . or yet another drunken orgy of book learnin' :)

pitboss 11-18-05 11:14 PM

haha
The "Coasting" mug, full of coffee, has been helping me stay awake during the long boring nights spent pouring over curriculum and development assignments. No booze lately - 2 teeth removed (this time not done by myself). Things, however, are getting better by the moment!

I know about studying , i got to take a test on tuesday again. 5 weeks til semester is over yes. :D
then back again :(

[165] and Ceya, I feel your pain. I just recently finished up grad school and I still, at times, get the feeling that I should be reading x pages in x book instead of reading a magazine or wrenching the bike. Call it the scholastic flashback. Stay the course and endure the mental numbness, it will pay off in the end.

Sorry for the OT all. Now, somebody post some pics dang nabbit!!

a guy i just met yesterday, thats not the stock fork but just another fork on until the he gets used to the new bike.

it was funny i was on the phone with judah as this guy comes into montanovelo and he overheard my eyegasm'... that bike is hot-

pitboss 11-19-05 05:18 PM

wait a sec - i think I might know of that bike from a conversation last time I was in CA...something to do with a certain punk band perhaps...

you're thinking of the one that montano velo built up for that guy in Rancid, this one belongs to a guy that just happens to work in my industry at a dispensary in Berkeley-

Ok, here are the pictures, certainly not finished with it yet. Fork, headset, and stem are next along with new pink wheelset from iro (hence the grips.) I hated the pista bars so i had to get those first. I will chop those into bullhorns tomorrow I think.

Stripped bianchi..

did you strip the label area only or the entir clearcoat. and did you re apply clear coat or just leave the bare chrome.

xunwedsailorx 11-20-05 12:22 AM

stripped all of it. reapplied clear coat to all of it.

i resurrected my old track frame with a powder coating. i think it looks damn hot with the white and black, but i can already tell its going to be a biatch to keep it clean. plus, after riding my smaller soma frame this one just feels too big even though its only a one centimeter difference. my plan is to get the soma powder coated, but brown, so dirt is less visible and throw these wheels on it.

i just finished my conversion project yesterday. this is my first fixed gear, and also the first bike i've ever build up. i enjoyed it greatly. it rides well, i just have to figure out toe clips all over again because i'm used to coasting to get my foot in.

it's an old nishiki frame that i spray painted, the paint looks terrible up close though. not really a big deal anyways. it has an iro basic wheelset, 16t DA cog, surly lockring, 44t rocket ring, dimension cranks, and a KMC 1/8 chain. tires are vredestein volante se. other stuff is nothing too crazy.

Where's the brake?

BostonFixed 11-20-05 07:29 PM

Travis- is that the frame that cracked?

How'd ya fix it?

travsi 11-20-05 07:38 PM

wow, you remembered. yeah, well, the crack was on the lug itself and after five weeks of riding and two alleycats the crack hadn't grown a millimeter. so i just got the crack welded.
