"The 'reverse-keirin-grips' are funky!"
I like 'em...I figure my hands are up top most of the time, so why put the grips down below? also, I guess I could have just wrapped the bars all the way, but I did 'em that way for two reasons: 1. I like chrome, but I can't handle not having any grip at all....this way I get both. 2. I only had one roll of that tape, so doing the bars all the way wasn't a possibility. |
try doing that with those soyo grips some time...it's not very fun...

It's been awhile and she looks a bit different now so I'd thought I'd post another picture. New Vetta seat that I pulled from a dumpster bike and an old Cinelli stem I grabbed for $10 when the other one broke. And tape! Reflective tape!

How are those bars treating you? after about a week of riding, I would give them a thumbs up. Both the side and forward positions are very comfortable. Been riding it to work on a combination of easy dirt trails and streets, and they work great for that. Need some fenders, though. |

Here is a picture of my newest bike...
Well not really new, I just tore it down from its broken state and fixed it. The frame is a Mid 80's Miyata 912, double butted croMo, althought the fork says 1024?? Is there a difference? Parts are
Almost forgot to mention, I have a set of Yellow tires which are going to be put into play here soon, at which time the bontragers will migrate to the Phil Wood/Open Pro wheels I am having my LBS build up. Phil |
