Not mine, but only the 2nd fixed gear (and maybe 3rd or 4th fg/ss overall) I've seen in Dublin. I saw a dude Steamroller a week ago.

caffinated :: Can I get a shot of that in 1280x1024 for my background?

Surferbruce 12-12-05 10:46 AM

Not even close.

LóFarkas 12-12-05 11:37 AM

^^^To me, Dubteka's Colnago is the hottest. But I don't like the rims, stem and cranks of that one, either. So keep the new pics coming!

what's with all the drooling? aren't we supposed to give unsolicited advice on how to make it look better? i'm confused-- has the world (by which i mean bf.net/fg) gone mad?!

nine 12-12-05 01:49 PM

that bike is not real, how could all the components match so perfectly? also it needs a gray saddle to match.

wangster 12-12-05 01:59 PM

that shody tube protector kills everything. That bike deserves a kashimax, you've obviously put a lot of effort and cash into it, what another 40 to complete the look? Definately a good looking bike, but I wouldn't say the best, but still up there, be higher with a better tape job for tope tube and even higher with a kashimax protector. :)

dubteka 12-12-05 02:03 PM

seriously.. i can't stand the look of kashimax top tube protectors... i like the offset of bling along side some electrical tape!

TheDL 12-12-05 02:05 PM

I'd like to have that bike....but no way those tires would stay white in an Oregon winter. That's a Sunday Sunny Rider if I've ever seen one.

oooo i totally agree. it's much better in person.

shants 12-12-05 03:09 PM

few things are uglier than a kashimax top tube protector. they have that totally ****ing foul yellowish tinge to them. it's exceedingly nasty.

jonb 12-12-05 03:10 PM

the wheels make that bike, its such a nice combo.

sr20det 12-12-05 04:02 PM

Alright I searched and found the answer as to what the heck kashimax top tube protectors are supposed to do.

"Track bars aren't wrapped at halfway up the drops... so when the wheel turns all the way, your bars hit the top tube. Bikes with brakes don't have this problem, the cables and bar wrap stops the handlebars from turning quickly and all the way.

A track bike easily and often has the bars turn into the top tube. In a wreck, the damage could be enough to dent your top tube, where otherwise maybe just your bars or a rim are toast; which is why the TT protectors are so beefy."
