Wow, I have always wanted a Panasonic, now I want a pink Samson. Seriously, is there a resource on the 'net that lists all of the NJS framemakers? Cuz I have never heard of Samson. That frame looks biggish, about a 57, right? Super hot. Post pics when it is done.

Just found this forum - it's inspired me to build up my 80's Edwins track bike (made in Canada) that I haven't ridden for almost 20 years.
The frame uses fillet-brazed steel ovalized tubes with a lugged bottom bracket, Dura Ace headset and Dura Ace bottom bracket. The wheels pictured are for tubular tires - I'm planning on getting clinchers built around some beautiful 28h Dura Ace hubs I got with the bike. I've never ridden a fixed gear on the road, so I'll be swapping the fork to mount a brake :o I bought it second hand in 1984 from a member of the Canadian women's national track team and I rode it for a couple of winters at the Olympic Velodrome in Montreal (which has since become a Biodome :( ). If anyone can provide any information on the builder (I believe his full name was Julian Edwins) it would be much appreciated. |
