nice, shiz...does the TT slope, or is that just the lack of headset i'm seeing?
|
Shiz, you must be a magician if you can get the crankset to float like that...
|
The hubs are LeVeL hubs, the top tube does not slope (or if it does I haven't noticed yet! Its probably just the lack of headset, and the front wheel is sitting directly on the QR axle meaning ithe fork ends are sitting a little lower than the back wheel, compounded with camera angle).
And the crankset isn't floating. I just slipped in the BB without the mounting rings and stuck the crank arms on either side. Voila! |

Holy Sh*t Teadogg!
|
I know that bike from somewhere!

london is crazy fun, took this on my first ride this morning... |
Revised, though still not final, incarnation of the Erba. Stem and front tire (clearance issue) still need to change. Also needs a new saddle, as the rails are bent on this one from a crash on the old bike. Eventually it will also have a Formula/Deep V front wheel to match the rear.

that back wheel looks cool in this shot. all black sweetness. nice photo
|
What kind of bars are those? Flats with bar ends?
EDIT: Just read the build log. Yes they are. Do you have any pics with the drops? |
teadogg, that bike looks sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
|
Thanks!
|
Crappy picture, but...
http://boxwood.subtle.org/se/albums/...0950.sized.jpg Going to swap stem and pedals and eventually throw on bar tape, but it's close. Survived ~50mi RT to Piermont... pretty good. |
nice, that's a lot like something i've meant to do.
|
Teadoggg-
Those are Velocity Aero rims, right? If so, they look great. I plan to use them on my next wheel build. |
Yep! I'm in love with these rims. They come in 32 and 36h, in silver and non-machined annodized black. They look really sharp.
|
Yes, I wanna use those too for my next build. Where'd you find those?

what kind of bars are those? that bike is sexy! |
Thanks :) They're Nitto 018 bullhorns.
|
that bike looks about 1000x times better in person.
edit: and it looks damn good in that picture too. |
Just finished my conversion this afternoon and went for my first ride on a fixed gear. I'm pretty into it.
http://naughtylittlemonkey.org/bikeside.jpg http://naughtylittlemonkey.org/bikefront.jpg http://naughtylittlemonkey.org/bikeback.jpg http://naughtylittlemonkey.org/chain.jpg I have some MKS pedals on the way. I'd like to swap the Shimano 1050 170MM cranks for something in a 165. The new rear wheel is wider than my old one, so I may have to swap the 23mm tire for a 28. |
I think I’m finally finished with her, and I must say I think she’s the gosh darndest perdiest steamroller around.
