Technomic indeed, it was free so if it bothers me once the rest of the bike is built i'll probably cut it.

I originally built it with 2 tensiors, then just 1, then tried without and been riding it that way since. I am getting full travel with the bike setup as it is. I may put a Pual's tensioner on at a later point, but the bike rides great without a tensioner.
