ok cool.
the photo looks like no snow, so i was double confused.
i spent a few days in burlington visiting a friend of mine.
seems like it could be a lot of fun on a bike.
(it was on a skateboard)

I can't believe those MKS Sprint doubles were cut in half to make single straps.

el twe 03-01-07 09:51 PM

Errebi Sprints.

But yeah, sorta funny as they're really not that great to begin with.

makes sense to me. I have set of kashimax singles and they are the ****ing jam. a great pair of singles is all you need, so cut those in half and double the fun!

moki 03-01-07 10:47 PM

Mr White, what kind of rims are those?

Come on now... who do you think you're talking to.

As with most things, things look better in real life than online.

No flash used - just a 135mm F2.

The Sprint straps were halved as they had 'shat the bed' from this seasons track racing. The laminated straps will do that from repetitive tightening and loosening. Waste not. Want not.

One more time for the kids back home

This has probably been discussed at length in the DIY thread, maybe, but how do you get cranks/rings that shiny? And those street pics always make me want to go back to Melbourne.

Meet "Totoro", my 200 euro winter beater fixie. A Nishiki Continental touring frame, super cheap Shimano-something 170mm cranks, supermarket pedals with plastic cages. 42T Sugino front ring. 32 Alex 3000 rims (serious beef!) laced to old LX front and a converted Diatec Disc Front hub/Bolted Granny ring monstrosity in the back. Selle Italia XO, and a rather nice Cinelli stem.

Weights a lot, but is surprisingly nice to ride :)

The forum doesn't use HTML, use the little add photo button or use
And take the .html off of the end of your image URL (you are linking to an HTML document, not to the jpg).
Also, you may want to make a flickr account.

I would go for black tape, but you might be able to find a cello tape that would come close to matching.

baxtefer 03-02-07 01:24 PM

brake levers WTF?
