It'd probably make me upset.

Like breaking up with a girlfriend because you just find her dull and unnatractive, then running into her at a party a year later with her new gorgeous boyfriend who treats her like a queen and she's lost 19 pounds and her skin is just glowing and she just looks so happy. Would that put you in a good mood? As you go home to put some Ramen and frozen burritos in the microwave? With the geriatric blind cat you share your appartment with? Hmm?

They look like the Malliard Pista....but I think those were drilled out even more....they did make some less drilled, and some undrilled. Hmmmm...

brampton, british hub company (air light), resilion, bayliss wiley, etc. all made hubs that look like this, and as far as i can tell there are very few people who know which is which.

they are the **** tho, i'd love a pair, but then i'd have to get a hetchins path racer to match.

edit: obviously they are not any of the english companies, so i'd say malliard is the best guess. i think they made other hubs that were drilled more as seren said. anyone know any other french hub makers from that era?

Rene Herse. But then they would have HUGE flanges and cost $1,000,000.00.

killsurfcity 12-09-06 03:44 PM

hahahaha

onetwentyeight 12-09-06 03:45 PM

campagnolo also made hubs that look like that. and maxicar, but they didnt make track stuff as far as i know.

redxj 12-09-06 04:00 PM

Maillard, Pelissier, or Normandy hubs? I said Brampton also on the FGG thread. I have a pair of Bramptons and a rear Airlite that look exactly like that rear. But, both of mine say made in England and both are stamped with the brand also.

yo what crankset is that

G14Classified 12-09-06 10:45 PM

Forks, Cranks Selection

Changed the Original fork mainly for aesthetic reasons and that the steer was cut too low when I got the bike from the previous owner...as for the new fork (Performance Brand) I just like the look and for $79 I couldn't pass it up and plus I could sell the fork that came with it to break even, oh and the fork that came with the bike was not the original carbon fork which was the C3 wasn’t drilled for brakes but the ones on the bike were the C4 which had brake holes.

The Cranks are just some old Sugino Track Cranks (144bcd) painted by yours truly.

Funny you should say that. Gargoyle bondoed headtubes are the new white belt in the world of Classic & Vintage restorations. If you don't believe me, go do a search in that section of the forum.

With that said, visitordesign....I heard you. Stop playing. I know YOU own a camera.

What did you do this time??? With the My Little Pony bike out of the way....I can't imagine where you would go from there. Enlighten me.:D

visitordesign 12-09-06 11:11 PM

enh, you know... the usual.

Custom or.....how did you come by it? How will you build it up? Great paint, BTW. I wish more triple triangles were creatively painted. The frames beg for it.
