With that many bikes around, somehow I think it's in the context of an alleycat, not some time/place where it's actually going to be left like that for a while without supervision.

TimArchy 01-30-08 06:07 PM

Most of them are locked around one of the support posts anyway. Though I wouldn't want to have to get my bike off the top row while drunk/in a hurry.

Scratch that, I wouldn't want my bike on the ground under someone trying to get their bike off the top row while drunk/in a hurry.

What an insanely insecure place to lock a bike, that fence could be cut apart in seconds.

If you look closer, the ulock is secured around the support beam of that fence (just like the black bike w/bullhorns beneath it), not the fence links.

you'd have to get past the dozens and dozens of bike riders that were on the other side of the camera for that picture.

there were over 230 people registered for the april fools race. that pic was taken at the finish line after party. if i can, i'll dig up pictures of what that entire fence looked like.

For future reference, the title of the thread is YOUR fixed gear/ss photos. Y'know, the place to post pictures of your bikes, like everyone else in this thread has.

(the think is because he could have had it but never rode it, he used to have a grey conversion when i met him)

definitely looks like my old frame, even has the black stronglight headset. now that I think about it, it was probably 4 years ago that I sold it, not 5. looks good except for the frame pad and risers....

damn I miss that bike

yeah, nothing was getting stolen without somebody seeing it. although i might have had a little more fun at metal race, april fools was still a good time.

yeah, come to think of it, i have known dennis for about almost 4 years, so that could be about right. I guess I forgot I've almost been out of school for 2 years now...

wow, i wish there was such a bike scene over here... in fact i've seen only one road fg and it was in montreal (where i don't go to often) and never seen anything related here.... exept last sumer at the local bike shop the mechanic was doing a convertion on a mountain bike. but it had a tensioner, a freewheel (for a mountain i don't think it's a shame but... ), the chainline was off by 1-2mm, the tooth of the cog where marely doing it in the links and the cog wasn't parrallel with the wheel.... i'm not a senior mechanic but i did saw all this in 20-30 sec.
