J/K, I went to school with Tony and helped decorate a beer funnel with him. He is cool, and his bikes are sweet. PS - beers are awesome.

see it at my blog!

I don't even know what it is...some 80s road frame? it has Sugino GT cranks and a decent back wheel w/ an American Classic Hub laced to Mavic Rim...I don't even know what that means I know like nothing about bikes, but apparently they're not bad.

I rode it a bit on the way home from the shop, not as off-putting as I thought it would be. It was fun!!! now all I gotta do is learn how to stop w/o the break. and do a track stand.

Welcome to the fold. Glad to know there are other planners who ride fixed ;) .

That makes a certain amount of sense with the combination. The longer chainstays mean a longer wheelbase which would equate to a theoretically less responsive ride (ie, more comfortable/stable at speed than quick handling)... likewise, the lower trail would keep the bike from self-correcting or following the lean too much. Neat. It's kind of counterintuitive on first glance, but if it works it works, right?

Why not just use black ones ... all that gold might weigh your bike down ;)

That's the best description I've ever read of how my SS Pog handled. Mine was a road version of that frame, with the +rake fork. Thanks for putting into words how my messenger whip rode all those years ago. You could absolutely go nuts on the pedals and the back end would totally stay put, it was so great for sprinting lights and out accelerating cars.
