Here is my 60cm 1985 Centurion Accordo. Sugino crankset, 42x16 single speed for now. 27x1.25" tires with a Suzue basic rear hub. Flipped and chopped bullhorns. Thanks to Tony at IRO for help on the rear wheel, and for all the guys and gals here who helped me figure out what the heck I was doing when I was putting this together.

no worries, i tend to be in a world of my own as well. no you didn't have the headphones on....that green bike w/ yellow rims nope its a pretty big brother w/ dreadlocks...kind of looks like ricky williams if somehow he could be stretched to around 6' 3" i see him pass by our club on haight street plus i have seen him around.. next time i'll be quicker to grab the camera...nothing like a flash to get your attention :D |

That's what I did, but you may want to get a set of thin chain ring bolts made specifically for this conversion. In my case I kept the bigger 52 tooth chain ring, but I got rid of the small one and put the big one in its place. This keeps the alignment perfect with the cogs. Nice looking bike, either way. Good job.

I went out on a ride today instead of attending the super bowl parties. When I finished I took some shots of the bike. These are the first since I have finished it. I am still not sure if I like the bars or not. Time will tell. The first photo is the night I un-boxed it...

Hey Fixers,
It was a beautiful day in Montreal today. After riding to my favorite coffee shop - Cafe Olimpico I took a couple of photos of the track bike I built up this fall. It should be up on FGG this week. After the unfortunate demise of #398 on FGG(for full story see message 4899 on OST) I have built up my new ride. It’s a Le Croco from the early 80’s. Other than the rims, saddle and pedals it’s pretty close to how I found it. The Tubeset is Colombus PL track tubeset, with a Cinelli BB Shell, Cinelli investment cast lugs & fork crown and Campagnolo track ends. Mitred and brazed here in Montreal and painted in its 80s spray-fade glory by Sandy himself. The gruppo is Campagnolo Record Pista: 49T 1/8 pitch ring and 16T cog, 36h high flange hubset, 165mm arms and all steel headset. The rims are Weinmann, wrapped with Conti Grand Prix 3000 tires. Cinelli XA stem to Ambrosio Pista bars and a Perforated flite saddle on a Sakae fluted post. Pedals are Wellgo Road pedals with Christophe clips and Silva laminated track straps. It’s got real tight clearance on that fork 23c tires leave 2mm from the crown and 3mm from the downtube. See some of you at Monstertrack 6! Dave |

Yo kennethalan- what pedals are you running?
Nice f-ucking bike! |
Holy beater Miyata!
Picked it up today. Stripped it down, threw on my Langster wheels. Perfect chainline with the middle ring. Just need to do some minor tweaks, get a new saddle and some bar tape. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ost/miyata.jpg |
