Dunno why you're being so f u c king critical, but chances are, you'd never say that **** to my face, so I'll take it as envy. Little b itches.

Also, that frame fits me fine. That's all that matters. Get the f uck off my jock

That **** may fly in the sticks son. Quit running your mouth.

I would.
That much saddle to bar drop is stupid.
An old bike like that was not meant to have anywhere near that much seatpost showing so the tt length and ht height are all wrong hence the crazy fit.

Racing like that makes no sense.
It's slow since it compresses your chest.(especially with the bars that close in horizontally)
It's slow because it bunches you up when you try to get out of the saddle.
It's dangerous since it puts you off balance.
It probably also causes you to ride with locked arms most of the time which is even more dangerous.

I would hope that anyone who saw you IRL would have the decency to point out your folly especially if you were planning on racing near them.

I like it when kids think because I used the word "racing" I mean it in the purist sense. In reality, I mean racing in the sense of I wanna ride laps in Prospect Park without my risers.

Regardless, they live in some suburbs in VA and ride their bikes 20 miles a week...

when you originally said "laps" i thought you meant at Kissena, not the Fred-o-drome.

That's one of the lamest, most pathetic attempts at back-peddling I've seen on this forum.

"Oh you guys may mean 'racing' like you guys actually race your bike competitively, but when I say 'racing,' I mean I ride my bike in circles around the park. Sorry if you can't understand that! You guys are such LANGUAGE NAZIS!!!!"

LMAO!

If you can't stand criticism, try not posting your bike here then. This is the BIKEforums.net. Pretty much everyone here has a bike (hopefully), it will take alot to impress them.

Try posting your bikes somewhere else, like myspace or facebook, maybe some chick will ooh-ahh over you totally rad drop on your "racing" setup.

oooh, its beautiful.

ps- how tall are you?

onetwentyeight 09-20-07 10:43 AM

i already have 99% of the parts. zipp hubs to araya adx 510s, crecord cranks, phil bb old cinelli stem (the pointy kind, standard road drop), drop bars, campy record post (either fluted or 2 bolt, i have both), and ill move my brooks swift over. ill either keep the ofmega headset on or put on the campy record pista one i have in my drawer of bike goodies.

im 5'10" or 11" ish depending on the weather. that bike is 57 seat tube, 56 top tube. ive been fitted as a 56.5 square so this should work just fine.

It's raleigh rush hour. completley stripped of everything it came with...except the headset..that's on the list, but it seams to be holding up fine.

Straws 09-20-07 10:58 AM

Deathhare, dont you ride one of those?

Alamo Square Park. I live across the street. Seems like every friggin day people ask me where the "full house park" is. Usually looks alot nicer, but I had to go out first thing in the morning so nobody would see me being "the guy taking pictures of his bike"

Ha. Let me clarify. I live across the street on the OTHER side of the park. In a one bedroom apartment that I've had for about 7 years now. No way I could move here now.
