Mines supposed to come in Monday, but we'll see(Columbus day).
I'm with regnak here. I'm across the bay in Daly City, and will be riding hills too. When I'm around SFO(for work), I'm sure the gear ratio will be fine, but I live around nothing but small to medium sized hills. My current setup is 42:16(but with 24" wheels LOL).
As for the clips, I'm gonna be in SJ next week for the Brand New show at state, so I'm hoping these are still in stock when I go by:

This bike has been selling like mad
and so we are trying out new colors so there will be more selection
The Silver, Yellow, and Mink Blue should be photoed on Friday - I hope
I would love to hear other ideas on colors for entry SS/FG like Moto Track and Windsor Hour

A matte black/gunmetal/grey Kilo TT stripper frameset would be lovely. Honestly, I think you should start making the Kilo's in stripper form only, regardless of color, complete or frameset.

barspinzz
First of all thanks bike forums and everyone on here iv been ghosting for quite some time. I belong to a bunch of different forums and this has to be one of the funniest. This is my first road style bike i used to ride a beach cruiser constantly when i was younger. I was torn between the moto track and the Dawes SST but the cost was the discussion maker. the bike came as if it was delivered by god himself the box did not have one dent, mark, or scuff on it. packaging was great as iv heard. i inspected the bike and found that two of the groves on the lock ring were stripped. i emailed BD with pictures last night but still haven't heard back. assembly was smooth and the bike looks great in person. took it for a ride and found the seat uncomfortable im ganna deal with it for a bit and see if it gets better... all in all im very happy with the bike and the price. BTW the wheel does hit the down tube so no "bar spinzz"
****ty iphone picture.

****ty iphone picture.

That's the 49 frame, right? Do you think that the larger frames might allow more clearance for barspins and such? Or does the bottom bar completely block rotation?

oh well.
oh well. The 52 is the one I'll be getting. I have a feeling I wouldn't ever do barspins anyway. Plus that gets rid of my only reason not to mount a front brake...
On a side note, If anyone notices when BD puts up the yellow and mink blue pictures, please post it here. They both are sounding very nice, but I want an actual visual before I decide.

Also, a tip for anyone who wants their bike to look even more naked..
The headbadge is just some thick foil metal and some goo foam tape.
A little bit of fingernail prying & she peels right off like a stubborn cadbury creme egg.

hey i was putting together my bike and noticed something.
the rear wheel was installed with the washers on the INSIDE of the frame instead of the outside. is that normal?? should i take off my rear wheel and redo it so that the washer is outside of the frame?
the only thing on the outside of the frame was the nut.
also, can anyone tell me the order of what goes on to install the brakes onto the front wheel??
example: washer inside or outside the fork??
thanks in advanced!

Your rear wheel is fine how it is. That's why it came that way. You would be pinching the frame if you tried to put things together the way you're thinking of.
It's hard to describe over the internetz something so important as the instilation of a front brake. If you think you might be doing it wrong, take it to someone who knows what they're doing. Forks don't really have insides or outsides.
Thanks for not starting a new thread.

lower left corner of the Track section, which you have to click to from the Yellow strip. (yeah it's not on their master page of bikes)

Bang For The Buck!
This Motobecane track bike looks really good, especially for the money! Over a week ago, I started a thread asking to compare SS freewheel to fixed gear because of my interested in getting a fast, efficient bike for longer distance riding.
I have a couple of questions to current owners. First of all, I'm not too familiar with the centimeter system of measuring frame size. I am about 5'8" or 5'9" on a good day, with a 29" inseam. Would a 52 cm frame work for me? I would much rather ride the smallest frame I can fit on, and am not too keen on having to stretch myself out too far. I also like to have sufficient clearence between the top tube, and the crouch area.
Second, does the bike come pretty much ready to ride out of the box? Are the wheels true or have you had to take it to a LBS for any adjustments?
Thanks in advance for your replies, and input.
Cool forum by the way

Sure will.. I got black.. the other choices were nice but I think I need a stealth bike so cars cant see me at night and run over me... Ill take pics when I get it all assembled.

If they can't see you... doesn't that mean they'll definitely run your ass over?
