11 months, actually. It was because I had to buy a whole new tag, I guess. Some counties are more expensive than others.

Meanwhile, in the road forum: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...es-and-Watches

I really try (occasionally) to post over there. We just come from different worlds.

I really, really want to take a few weeks off from work this summer to bike in the mountains. I was thinking Colorado, but I have a potential place to sleep in Oregon. One of the few perks of being a kitchen manager.. (unpaid) vacations.

Job feeds biking habit (and me).

I've said it once, and i'll say it again: post in the 33. You have teammates (technically club mates?) over there.
Although you may be new to racing, you might find yourself to be more like-minded to folk over there than the layman roadie.

The 41 sucks.

OK OK I'll admit it... I have absolutely no grasp of the number system in these here forums. I don't know what 33 or 41 means. >.<

Didn't come out at all like I expected. I was hoping for a raised, rubbery finished. I might as well have used spray paint. Also, massive overspray because of the wind. I need a garage.

hairnet 12-30-11 01:16 PM

looks good

striknein 12-30-11 01:23 PM

I have ideas for the next one. I think I'll setup some sort of rig to stretch the fabric, and I'm going to use a LOT more tape to affix the stencil. Oh, and not spray outdoors.

hairnet 12-30-11 01:25 PM

I kind of like overspray with these things

jdgesus 12-30-11 01:28 PM

yummygooey 12-30-11 04:36 PM

Today I got a package in the mail from Chris King. A couple weeks back I sent in my headset for service, and when I opened the package today I was surprised with a brand new headset (including race, top cap, etc) and $0.00 on the invoice... awesome!

calbob76 12-30-11 06:36 PM

built up my new white big block

KtownScott 12-30-11 07:48 PM

I got my park tools crank remover. Removed cranks, and bottom bracket. Then cold set the rear for a new wheelset. Now she is ready for paint.

Dannihilator 12-30-11 07:54 PM

Today my back is feeling better, but still put in a street session. Tomorrow I start doing road rides again.

Nagrom_ 12-30-11 08:17 PM

Dannihilator 12-30-11 10:31 PM

It took me 16 years, but today I finally won on a game of freecell.

Considering I played this game like a madman during my early college years, I had to laugh at this a little. But first time for everything.

Ordered a power drill and bit set (for my wife) and a Park torque wrench.
Also put together a list of options for bike parts for a Leader 722. Looks like I can get most of them from RG.
Went for a short 5 miler. Watched UFC 141 while drinking some Amstel Light and Pacifico.
Wife came home with a bunch of free food from work, YES.

Today I:

Finished building up the Stop Cycles E.t.A . However, I don't really know the fine tuning of canti's... So Imma have to leave it to the LBS to save the day. Though, I won't be able to get there till Sunday/Monday. Hopefully the weather is nice enough that I can snap some photos.

jimmytango 12-31-11 05:46 AM

Today, I ate way too much Indian food for lunch, and my stomach now hates me. After that, I put 30-35 miles on with my new padded shorts. First pair I ever bought and they're possibly the best invention ever. That milage included a bunch of errands, Critical Mass, and some riding that I probably was too tipsy for. Drank some good beer, ate some tater-tot poutine, hung with some rad people. It was a good night.

During the tipsy riding, I hopped on Misskaz's 43cm Fuji Track Classic and rode around, busting mad skidz. I'll remind you that I'm 6'4", and I was riding a bike that belongs to someone who's 5'1". I wish we had gotten pics. I did get a pic of something though...

That would be the one and only Misskaz with a fiber-optic lamp attached to her helmet.

Yeah, it was a good day.

Am going on my longest ride of the year since recovering from hernia surgery. The weather is beautiful, topping out around 70 degrees with winds under 10 mph and clear sunny skies. I've strapped on a second water bottle, so as to minimize stops. Nothing epic, no camera crew or support car, no record attempt, just enjoying my bike, my health and the beautiful countryside. :)

Happy New Year - TT

homebrewk 12-31-11 11:04 AM

Have a great time TT! and happy new year to you too!

xavier853 12-31-11 12:07 PM

That's the way you should always ride TT. Have fun!

Today I rode my bike for the first time in two weeks. I missed it :(, being home without my bikes was depressing.

xavier853 12-31-11 01:05 PM

Today,

my dad gave me his old cycling shoes (great condition, they are just too small for him) along with both his Look Racing pedals and Speed Play's (including the mounts). Time to have some fun!
