I wish TT was my grampa. Seriously.

Not making light of hamfoh's troubles, I just want a track racing old man that speaks internet as a relative.

Dannihilator 01-09-12 09:20 PM

Today I had a good road ride same planned for tomorrow.

Yeah I can see my front hub clearly with a 90mm stem when I'm in "hoods" position, and I've thought about moving my saddle back and grabbing a 100mm stem. Maybe it'll take really long rides, several times a week, for me to notice it's too small. Though it being comfortable sure makes wanting to change anything hard.

Is yours the 50cm?

Today I should be on my way down to Portland to get some cheepo road tires @ Performance but I'm just not in the mood.

All the way down to my neck of the woods eh? Sounds like a good idea!

Today I: Rode the Stop Cycles E.t.A roughly 12 miles, and I am absolutely in love with this beast!

riding 55. probably could've gone 58

redpear 01-09-12 10:14 PM

okay, I mistook you for someone else on here. I'm about to ready to upgrade to a new frame from this relatively inexpensive one, so I don't feel too bad about it not fitting. MASH's probably sell really well though, if you end up having to go that route. But if it's comfortable, it's comfortable.

ruskiantonov 01-09-12 10:59 PM

Today I went for a thirty mile bike ride and came to terms with the fact that my frame is a bit too small for me :( anyone interested in a black 58 cm Cinelli super pista...?

hamfoh 01-10-12 12:21 AM

gimme

jimmytango 01-10-12 12:51 AM

I want it. I ride a 58, but it's actually a size too small, so I guess not.

Experienced runner's high for the first time tonight while riding. It has only been about four years since I started riding and last ran. Came across one of the fast night rides and saw my friend so I decided to hang on since we were going in the same direction. Stopped at 7/11 because I was craving something sweet and ended up with toffee peanuts and a brownie. Reporting in with one of the beers my girlfriend's mother gave me for Christmas.

Nagrom_ 01-10-12 01:40 AM

Today I shaved off about a years worth of beard... Feels naked man...

jimmytango 01-10-12 02:07 AM

Today I got in around 15 miles, went to a pop-up dinner for chicken and waffles but they were out, went to a bar to do karaoke, sang Buzzcocks and Queen, came home buzzed, and annoyed my wife by blasting Ass Baboons From Venus and Melt-Banana. If you don't know them, they're experimental Japanese noise-punk weirdness. Look them up.

I used to run alot too.

What I find is that I only get the same effect with a continuous, intense effort. The problem with cycling and "runners" high is that things like traffic and terrain interrupt longer efforts.

Have you ever done a tt or something similar? For me a set of 2x20's on the trainer before work does the trick every time, provided that I can complete them in a HR zone that has me cussing and counting.

hank0604 01-10-12 08:30 AM

Today is my 4th day riding fixed, and I don't think I'll flip the hub back around, I'm enjoying it. However, 2 observations:

1) I must've used my freewheel much more than I thought, because I'm getting tired on rides that normally didn't tire me.

2) Riding fixed has definitely identified some bike fit issues that never showed up will riding with the freewheel. Time to do some tinkering.

I know traffic and stuff gets in the way, but i wasn't doing anything different last night. I was just riding one my usual side street routes to go home, I wasnt tired, and I started to zone out and my body felt all light. Pedaling felt automatic to the point I didnt really feel my legs. this was on my touring bike

Today I met a dude from Africa who told me stories of how he and his brothers would hunt lions as young boys and how it feels odd to now be working at Home Depot as an adult. He went on to say how he has more fear for the IRS than for being face to face wild animals that could eat him.

It was $55. Ordered on 12/27 and received it today. Not bad for a custom-made bag.

No problem. I feel like it's a bit smaller than it looks in the photos(maybe the guy in the photos is a real small dude). You get to pick the main material color, trim color, thread color, and interior color. I also had them add an inch or two to the waist strap and it fits perfect. If I needed a big bag, I'd probably buy from them too.

Today I'm starting a week-long detoxing fast. No coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, or meat. Might go straight liquids for a day or two.

Water and real fruit juice alternating will wipe your system out. Lose like 10 lbs from it.

hamfoh 01-10-12 03:23 PM

Got my Affinity crankset in the mail today, after ordering it on the 29th. been the last piece of my 722 I've been waiting for

and just as I feared, despite saying
"Comes with a Truvativ 68x107 BB for a limited time."

and then again in the product description
"For a limited time, we're including a free Turvativ 68x107 square taper BB. "

There is no BB to be found in this box. So effing annoyed right now.
