Today I went clipless. It's awesome my pedal stroke is so much more efficient and smooth. I thought i was gonna fall on my ass all night but I didn't fall once I got crank bro's tho so i had 4 chances to get that s.o.b in there.

So this is what i got.

I like them so far seems like good entry level stuff.

Those Aerospeeds are good shoes for the price.

I ****ed up while trimming my beard, so it's 29 degrees out and I have a naked face. ****.

Let me say this about that... i put SPDs (cheapo Wellgos) on my fixed... previously had run them on MTBs and always set up the tension light. And all was well til i really "went for it" sprinting out of the saddle and a pedal pulled out (collapsed my weight onto the still-clipped-in leg, went around one pedal stroke like a rodeo, reclipped). You MAY want to jack up the pedal tension a little. Downside for me on my pedals is it's a lot harder to clip in than it used to be now that i've tightened them.

i have no idea if Crank Bros pedals are susceptible to this problem, but mine were.

various styles 12-11-12 11:44 PM

I hope not. That sounds like a brutal crash.

sinikl 12-11-12 11:55 PM

no crash, i saved it through dumb luck not talent, but potential horrific event. maybe try a sprint surrounded by soft surfaces and not in traffic first?

oh and by "problem" i meant "it's hard to clip in" not OMG i pulled out of the pedal.

I ate some of my homemade duck prosciutto. Then i had some gravlax. A good day.

I love the Eggbeaters! They are on all my bikes.
Simple adjustment = there is none.

If you want less float, you install the cleat backwards

Today i 4.5 hour CADD class final.

GENESTARWIND 12-12-12 06:37 AM

Back up drive or piracy... I happen to have a friend who only "acquires" movies in 1080 and he has a synology NAS that's 8x3Tb's.

Do you use your computer?

It's 2012. Not too hard to fill up a TB.

I just finally filled up my first TB drive. Dug up my blank DVD stash and have started burning. Seems like it would be easier to just go get a 2.5 TB, though.

I have a 50 gig Linux Partition, a partition that houses an image of my work computer and then my WinXP partition. I've come up with a different backup method for work comp so I guess I can drop that chunk now.

Lotta graphics files, but mostly small CorelDraw vector files. Maybe 100 movies, about 4.5 GB apiece max, and a buncha race D/Ls from cyclingtorrents.nl.

Street rider 12-12-12 01:38 PM

Today I took my last exam for the semester, just finished season 2 of arrested development, and I'm going home in 3 hours or so. Good day.

I worked at a place that had one of those. Endless jokes, haha.

I just got six bottles of Westvleteren 12 and two bottles of Fantome Saison, both of which are extremely rare beers. I'm stoked. Also, new haircut looks good. Between that and the accidental shaving, I look like I'm about 21.

Not a bad day.

LesterOfPuppets 12-12-12 03:49 PM

Today I got this far and started wishing I had some barend shifters.

A friend in NY offered to buy a bottle and ship it for me, but I'm terrified that I'll lose it in transit. How were you able to acquire such a quantity?

jdgesus 12-12-12 04:56 PM

Well, DM me your address, send me a bottle of Pliny The Elder, and I'll send you a bottle of Westy. Also, Half Acre is releasing Big Hugs (Imperial Coffee Stout made with Dark Matter coffee) Sunday, and I'll snag you one of those if you have something else you wanna trade (Pliny The Younger would be acceptable, for comparison's sake haha). Also, haven't we had a beer-trade conversation before?
