@ Jaytron:

i'll have to see this. my wife has an unholy obsession w/ Jason Statham. can't say as i blame her, but at least it has Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris.

as a Tae Kwon Do geek from the 70's, anything w/ Norris gets at least one viewing.

Bikes: Bike Count: Rising.

Today I got a great street session in after replacing the freehub body on the mtb. The old one was 3 weeks past blown. Planning on a pumptrack session tomorrow.

Today I tried to clean the sand outta my King headset. There's still a lot in there. Poop!

I think I'm just gonna keep flushing it with WD40 and regreasing it every couple weeks until the sand works itself out (hopefully).

Got my super awesome 4 day Massachusetts to California Retrogression order today. Loving it, and the Scrod's posse sticker.

Today Angie and I went next door to our ex-neighbor's place to do some snooping around (they moved out this past weekend) and discovered they left a ton of food (canned goods, boxes of pasta, unopened bottles of hot sauce and other condiments, etc), beer and liquor behind.

I don't know, that just seems kind of wrong :/ I'm fine with taking left food, but what inspired you two to break into the house?

We didn't break in. They left the door unlocked and had previously joked with us about taking anything they forgot/left behind.

Nutella hatin? wierd. Marmite's on a whole nother level. It's like a really reduced stock about the consistency of earwax when warm. More like candle wax when you put it in the fridge.

See also Bovril and Vegemite. Other varieties of gnarly salty spreads.

Hmm, thanks. I'll keep an eye out for it. Regarding Nutella, I just don't have a sweet tooth. That stuff is like pure sugar for me. I don't think I ever tried it until I was in my late twenties. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I spent the day with a rad friend, made some foods with said friend, had a date at a (I feel) overrated restaurant, and now I'm home watching TV. Not a bad day.

yeah, i tried some Nutella an Italian friend brought back (real, not the made in Canada stuff we get) and it was ok, but still too sweet. my college girlfriend was from Croatia and couldn't start her day w/o Nutella on toast and espresso.

Marmite is very much in the 'savory' (not sweet) end of the spectrum. and yes, it's typically a love it or hate it thing. but it's good for you!
